Very good short romance. The voice acting is phenomenal <3

I love the drama of this game, I called my butler Babagrill which made it even better

[b][i]My Lady[/i][/b] is a short amusing OTOME VN with one romantic option. I enjoyed it. I was always more into oranges than lemons.. [b]Pros:[/b] + Voice acting. + Buttler.. and his VA (ahh...[i]Bradley Gareth[/i]). + BGM by [i]Christopher Escalante[/i] (need I say more?). [b]Cons:[/b] - Quality of VA, but you can live with that. - Faceless characters. Although I didn't mind it as much as I originally thought. I ended up liking the art.

Such a nice (and sadly very short) visual novel. If you enjoy reading Regency romances, and if you like butlers... tis is the perfect game for you :)

A butler and his lady is a pairing I really love, but this game doesn't convey what is appealing about the dynamic at all. I expected more hints of the butler's feelings, like him helping you with everyday tasks with much more effort than is needed just to please you, and maybe his mask slipping just a bit, and I definitely expected MUCH more romance, but the story is so short that it cannot possibly communicate what the author was probably hoping to convey. As somebody who has worked on Renpy visual novels like this one, I understand how much work something like this takes, but I feel like a lot more heart could have been put into this. The voice acting and art are completely passable for something of this price, but it's the lack of character depth that really does the game in for me. I can tell this is very much an indie game, so I feel bad criticizing it to this extent, but I feel like the author should have avoided the alternate endings and instead added at least a little more romance or tension to the main storyline. Just a little more content and interaction between you and your lover would make this game feel worth it. The first half is spent in your room reading letters and talking to your maid, while the second half crams in the suitor, the mom, and the endings. It's almost like the creator started writing a story and then decided to throw in a subplot of romance and several rushed endings. I figured that for a dollar, it was worth trying, and honestly, it's pretty hard to complain about the price. It isn't the cost that disappointed me, it was that I was really excited for a romance that understood its appeal and played into it, but it fell completely flat. Even for someone who absolutely adores this type of dynamic, there was nothing here for me.

Very short visual novel with easy replayability especially if you're aiming to get 100% achievements. The art style was off-putting at first, but I got used to it quickly. The characters look like mannequins with wigs and clothes on. There are a few parts where they show some semblance to having a 'face' but its not quite enough. I assume they were made that way for the viewer to imagine how they look like instead of relying purely on visual content. Much like reading a book.. but we are playing a 'visual' novel so it is a bit contradicting. Background were in the same level as the characters as well, nothing really stood out. What stood out in this game is the voice acting, but not all voices are made equal. I found Alexander/the Butler's voice sounded more muffled than the others. Sophie/the Maid's voice was the best out of them, she seemed to be more 'alive' than the main character. The story is quite straightforward, but much too short to give much depth for each character. If you're looking for a game to read and complete within less than an hour, this will be good for you.
