A fun little game with some creepy vibes ngl. Nice!
Wow, this is without a doubt the best psychological 2.5D platformer made by interactive arts and science students at Brock university that I have ever played.
Awesome game. I like that guy playing the guitar!

A trashy 2D platformer where you play as a bear, collect buttons, and do some parkour — and that’s it? Way too weak to be considered a decent, interesting game.

GO BARRINGTON!
I'm a big fan of this kind of art game, especially those with childhood themes, and I'm impressed with the innovation and emotional expression. It is a student project, but the game was short enough and overall enjoyable enough that the unpolished edges didn't wear out their welcome. If you like experimental games I think it's well worth the 20-30 minutes of your life. (Note--this was fully playable on Steam Deck once I figured out the controls.)
Stylishly fascinating 2D platformer with dark themes like child trauma, that unfortunately is very unpolished and riddled with bugs, and since there's no a save option in-game, game-breaking bugs are lurking around the corner. This one bug happened to me right before the final scene of the game (partial spoiler, just in case):
in the final level where the teddy bear must save his friends, as soon as I approached the ship,
the teddy bear started to go slowly down under the map, and I was unable to move. There was nothing I could have done, and naturally I didn't want to start the whole game from scratch. Moreover, half the achievement don't work. This is a student project made by 20 people, but I can't recommend My Friend Barrington in this state. I still wish these students the best for their future.
Solid platformer! Sadly missed out on one button though, my bear journey is incomplete.
Not gonna lie i went into this game not expecting much but i am pleasantly surprised.
i thought it was a really nice and cute game about some relatively dark topics. its a short playthrough, id say you give it a shot!
