About
Rev Up for teddy bear-fueled mayhem in the badlands!
In MotorCubs RC, the cutest crash-test dummies on wheels are here to shred Monument Valley’s iconic red-rock wilderness. Strap adorable teddy bears into four wild RC vehicle classes — nimble Compact, lightning-fast Sport, mud-chewing Mud Plugger, and the absolute beast Titan — and launch them into 10 savage offroad tracks where every boulder, bush, and flaming wreck is out to end your run.
Bigger rides crush bigger obstacles, but only the sharpest drivers (and luckiest bears) will survive the jumps, rockslides, and spectacular wipeouts. Feel the physics-driven thrill as your RC machine flips, bounces, and powers through interactive hazards and unforgiving terrain.
Race Solo against the clock or grab a friend for Local Co-Op chaos — because nothing says “teamwork” like two teddy bears trading paint at full throttle.
With more tracks and events roaring down the pipeline, MotorCubs RC delivers pure, unfiltered offroad adrenaline wrapped in the world’s most huggable racers. Are you tough enough to keep your bear alive?
Survive the Valley. Wreck everything else.

Well, this is awful. I understand that this is still in early access, but it is so bad in so many areas. Track designs are not clear, so its easy to drive off in certain places. The AI is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad, driving all over the road and crashing into each other constantly. The physics are easy the worst part, with the RC cars clipping the ground, and jumps have no arch to them, as you are slowed down in the air while being awkwardly pulled down. Lastly, the game runs incredibly poorly at times. Just buy PocketCars instead or wait until this gets better.
Despite the pretty slick presentation of the game here on Steam, in reality the game is just way too simple to hold any interest for me and just isn't fun to play. Don't be fooled by the Motorstorm references some of the other reviews mention, and which the Dev also used on twitter. Superficially (mostly the color scheme and Canyon environment style) it looks a little bit like it, but this is WAY off Motorstorm as a game overall. I you're interested in a really basic indie racing game it's not terrible I guess, but otherwise I'd steer clear of this one. Better of playing Motorstorm in an Emulator. :)
Definitely a work in progress. This game has good amount of redeeming qualities. Easy/simple controls that make the game quick to pick up, collectible honeypots that incentivize fully exploring tracks or approaching them creatively, levels being a good length, and having 16 cars show the general chaos of what arcade racers are supposed to be. It's still got a good amount to work on, but it's a huge plus for me that the developer is pretty responsive to feedback and wants to improve their game.
MotorCubs RC was a fun and surprising discovery. The price was right, and the images looked entertaining to me, so I decided to give it a shot, which turned out to be a great idea. This game had me laughing at my mistakes in the middle of races. It features challenging tracks, resulting in frantic races, and that's already enough for a game at this price point to be worth it. MotorCubs RC is simple, but it works very well and delivers on what it promises. Something that pleased me greatly was the ability to play with two people locally. It seems like developers have forgotten about this feature lately, and it makes a very positive difference. I enjoyed the variety of cars and tracks. My favorite car was the Honey Buggy Baja, and my favorite track was Guttural Crack. It gave me a great Mad Max vibe, and the race on it is truly insane and fun. The controller commands work well, and I didn't encounter any bugs. As I mentioned earlier, MotorCubs RC is simple, but it's a good kind of simple. It was a good experience, and I recommend it for the price it's currently at. It's worth it.
Game looks great. The boost is nice and works well. My one gripe would be the handling on the first car. Since this is the only car to start with it makes advancing past the first track more difficult than it should be. The second car handles better and makes it easier to place high enough to advance. Would also like to see more fun details that remind you these are little cars in a big world.
What a fun racing game! The music is exciting and really gets you pumped, making each race engaging. The graphics are excellent, with attention to detail in both vehicle design and the surrounding environments. The level design showcases a variety of challenges and keeps the game play fresh. If you're a fan of racing games, this one provides an enjoyable and immersive racing experience that's definitely worth trying out.
After an hours playing, the game is mostly experienced for me I think, It offers a fantastic off-road RC racing experience with a wide array of race types, and an impressive selection of playable car models. While the controls could benefit from a touch more responsiveness, the overall experience is highly enjoyable. If you're a fan of remote-control car racing, this game is definitely worth a try!
Seeing the update progress of Motorcubs has me convinced that it will get better and better. For early access, it feels right on track to becoming a solid racing game when MotorCubs hits retail. For the price, it's worth the fun and support to a passionate indie dev team. I do wish the game could be easier for a casual like me.
The graphics and vehicle design are top notch for such a new game. I'm confident that the final release of this game will be amazing. My only criticism would be the vehicle handling. I think the problem may be that the cars are going too fast to get a proper handle of them. I had to start and stop a lot just to finish the race because of the speed/handling. I really can't wait to see the final version of this game with the kinks sorted out!
The graphics, level/vehicle design are all really good and feel like a lot of effort has gone into them (although the optimisation could be improved). However, the gameplay is the main issue. You get bounced around everywhere and your vehicle tips over really easily if you get crashed into, or if you hit a random bump in the track no matter how small it is. The tracks also get really crowded with 24 cars, they could be widened a bit. With more attention to the gameplay and handling rather than the graphics, it could actually be quite good. Edit 1: Especially not worth the $25 I backed it with on Kickstarter. Edit 2: The dev has put out a few updates since I posted this review, and the handling has been improved considerably. There is still room for improvement but I'm happy to see that they are acting on feedback. Edit 3: There have been many updates since I posted this review. The handling has been massively improved as has the performance. It's still lacking a bit in content, and there are a few minor issues here and there, but I'm happy to change this to a positive review. Looking forward to future updates.
