Reviews
Seven Acolytes.
Tiene ideas chulas, pero el combate se siente cutre y los controles no se pueden cambiar.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 2 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game blends isometric pixel art with lovecraftian horros in a finger licking way, topped with ample amounts of gore that one would expect from the genre. This being said, there are tidbits that decrease the fun, one of them being the hamfisted melee combat in this game. Not only is it slow, but also can be interrupted by enemies or AoE too often, which results in the player receiving staggering amounts of damage, which can't really be blocked in any way, as parrying can't be carried out at the same time as the attack. As with many games in the sould-like genre, gameplay here revolves around repetition and getting better gear and consumables along consecutive runs. Bosses and larger enemies aren't too tough. They require one to learn their movement patters, so no surprises there, as its a staple in this genre. In overal, this is a good, albeit short game, which offers some fun to be had as well as savoring the themes evoking the writings of the "The Recluse of Providence" aka H.P. Lovecraft. If you're a fan of body horror or unearthly eldritch horrors, you will feel right at home with this one.
Está bien. Simple, pero cumple.
Sin ser perfecto cumple el objetivo de entretener, 7/10 PD: En steam deck corre perfecto

I've picked up the game on a steep discount after a friend of mine recommended it.
Technical
I have a 21:9 monitor, so the game being stretched was really awkward, not sure how hard implementing black bars to the side would'be been, but having to play the game in windowed was not something that I expected when buying the game~ is the blame on me for not checking this prior to committing to the purchase? sure, but it was already such a lenghty process to browse through multiple games, cross check their prices on IsThereAnyDeal, and watch a review for hundreds of games~ made me feel betrayed after choosing this game over other options, is all~
Combat
I think most of you should do yourselves a service, and check out the Demo prior to buying, as it'll speak volumes larger than me telling how sluggish melee combat is~ you get interrupted by everything. later on enemies spew a DoT on the ground that's covered by the foliage, constantly interrupting even your faster melee hits. long story short, melee in this game is not a good time to be had. silver lining is, you can cheese it with ranged weapons, which in contrast felt much better to pilot and play, be that it's sometimes buggy and gets stuck on nothing, consuming the ammo in the process.
Exploration
it's confusing. a lot of the map looks like I should be able to walk through the tall grass, but you can't ▬ while in other areas you can, and is very much the intended way. I did enjoy the map only being accessible at the save points though, made for an overall much more exciting exploration. drops are really lackluster, half way through I felt like skipping past everything purely to progress, since half just gave useless consumables that didn't contribute to anything; while the other half housed game breaking stuff, like increased ammo capacity & extra health flasks, or additional Blessings that helped me tip combat in my favor larger majority, it just felt void of rewards~ I kill a bunch of elites, I get a weak healing consumable. I can go to a given house, it's just there for decoration~ some of the drops are hard coded, while the rest were randomized~ just overall a mess.
bosses
sadly, they are not the highlight of the game either~ the 2nd boss as an example had an insane difficulty jump, and in general all of them were annoying to fight. don't think I have anything nice or constructive to say, so I'll just move on~
verdict
tbh I'm a bit conflicted on what rating to give it~ it's not a game that I would recommend to others, I wasn't having much fun with melee combat, but it didn't overstay it's welcome and I'm not mad for the amount of content at how steep of a discount I got it at~ overall, I think I'm just not pity enough to give it a not recommended, I'm sad at how much better it could've been, but not sure what other game I could've played in it's place in the given time frame~
Game has a lot of potential, but the controls have too much of a delay on them to make it worth playing.
