fun and short. Good for if you're looking for something fun and short.

A fun little game that makes you have a good time. The mechanics are solid, the gameplay simple yet fun. The upgrades keep you hooked and the difficulty is just right, not easy, not hard. It has a few bugs like the dash is somewhat tricky sometimes 'cus it gets you stuck next to the electrical barrier but it's not big deal. Overall a really good game! Nice!
1st boss hard

fun little metroidvania, really appealed to the Metroid fan in me. Monster design and worldbuilding is good as always, soundtrack is fun too. controls and physics are a little wonky at times and, similar to loplight, there isn't much reason to fight enemies aside from them being in your way. Still, fun time, glad I played it.
If I could put a middle ground I would, because as much as I didn't jive with this I can see the appeal and others really digging it. Nice atmosphere and aesthetic. One issue is controls feel really slippery in terms of movement and the jump is kinda odd. It feels like colliding with walls or ledges makes you automatically jump or double jump off? It's weird. People have also pointed out the collision and hit box issues and yeah I can agree. The attack is also strange and it can feel unpredictable which direction your attack will go in. Second issue is level design, or rather pacing/enemy placement. I think the biggest pitfall though is how the first boss isn't immediately after a checkpoint. I know that might sound silly but it's a game where enemies move quickly and you don't have much indication of when you lose health or when an attack is coming so you can die quick. Which is one thing, but having to arbitrarily make through several screens with pits and enemies where you can't just blast through to boot means it gets tedious fast and you're not getting the quick respawn into the fight to properly learn how the boss works. Just seems like such a weird way to design an opening sequence.
It's hard to play, and hard to love. I can only go so many times against the first boss until I don't feel motivated anymore. Sorry.
