1. This game isn't updating anymore. The steam devs have suddenly left the discord servers and nobody knows why. 2. it is heavily paid to win. First the game was only on steam a year before it seems the devs have up and quit. Here's an example of what you'd spend your money on. The special weapon of certain monmusu girls, upgrading that all the way to 10. Buying legendary equipment for all 8 characters, upgrading your pearls to multi pearl level 7+normal pearls as well, $250 unless you want to breadcrumb the game. I estimate that it needs $400 worth to upgrade your relics all the way. And when you buy a valkarie that newly comes out for $5 they'd try to talk you into upgrading her until she's 10 star. The cost of doing that right away is $85 dollars. The new skins that came out in the store if you wanted to buy all of the ones that you missed about $150. There never was an easy way for a free player to compete or earn all that. This is coming from a reviewer that reached world 8 and made a 7 minute long youtube vid. proving it. If all my character doesn't have is all his relics upgraded all the way, and even he can't beat world 8, something is really wrong here. Since the game is no longer updating anymore it's now impossible for me to earn relics through the limited time events, much less buy the needed resources to upgrade my character. It might have been possible for me to beat world 8 if they actually released the mystic gear upgrade like they promised. There were a lot of fun times, but world 5 and beyond became nothing but pay to win for me and others. No further updates since May 18nth. I think that the devs have quit. The art is very cute but I think the game is losing a lot to other gachas because it's not voiced. Also, asking $20 for a button to skip through the daily chore of clearing the Chaos Realm is diabolical. Update: since May 29th the game is broken - you can't claim daily tasks and some of the menus don't load.
I loved this game's cute character designs and artstyle. I have even kept up with the community, and submitted a character to be used in the game because I trusted the developers. Unfortunately, the community as well as the developers are okay with use of AI in the final product. I cannot support a game where the entire draw is its artwork, only for it to be superseeded by AI.
There not much of the mode, every round are the repetitive auto battle, it's worth a few round of fun that you could move on.
2026年5月游戏引来了停更结尾,应该是没动静了,游戏其实底子还行,但是运营做的完全不合格。玩了一百多个小时,也是不容易,想到氪的月卡一去不返最终还是给到一个差评,不如秽土转生成单机版。
Been playing this game for a while now, recently the it seems the game has been abandoned and the daily and reward system is now not working. You cannot claim tasks you have completed which leaves you limited to progress. It was a fun game but now is end of days seems like there is no dev team to do anything.
It was fun while it was still operational at least😑

My true feelings about the game itself are...
The game was actually pretty good, and I enjoyed playing it too. I didn't spend much in the game, but I felt happy enough with the game's developmental direction, its art style, and even the gameplay to contribute to the game's development whenever I had the funds to toss some of my coffee money into the game's development fund.

My true (CURRENT) feelings about the developer team at the time of writing this review.....
..... Let's just say.... the game studio behind this game are officially in the Top 10 on my Most Hated Dev Studios list now.... NOTICE: See my
Why I hate the dev studio now
section for my reason I say this.

Why I hate the dev studio now
The dev studio quite literally and very abruptly pulled the plug on the game AND they vanished from the official Discord AND are refusing to give any sort of explanation for why the game went offline.... and yes, there has been confirmation in the Chinese chats in the official discord server that the game has been terminated by the game studio. If you don't believe me then by all means, go check for yourself in the official discord server. You'll see what I mean by "terminated". Normally I'd be fine with a game being terminated by the dev studio that created it, but normally the dev studio would give some sort of prior notice of the impending shut down since that is the appropriate thing for a business to do when they have a large number of total active users in their community. But they ghosted us players while simultaneously terminating the game's servers so abruptly and they still haven't given us any sort of explanation for what the heck happened.
A quick cash grab indeed... there's no other term for a game that got shut down as suddenly as this with no explanation.
The devs should be ashamed for pulling such a rotten stunt on their devoted fans. NOT COOL DEVS!
My Updated feelings about the state of the game and the developers based on new info the devs released
Just a day or 2 ago (as of the time of this updated review -- edited on 6-12-2026) a mod in the official Discord server managed to find a conversation written in Chinese between the members of the Dev studio team. Through a collaborative effort of several members of the Discord server and said mod, the conversation was translated as best as possible into English via the use of Grok's AI translation functions. The conversation seemed to indicate that the dev studio went bankrupt due to another game project they were working on other than Monmusu Girls and this lead to the game servers being shut down. Now, speaking as a hardcore avid gamer who also happens to be a professional indie game dev, my personal experiences with Gotcha genre games made by Chinese game studios leaves me feeling like that convo that was translated via Grok AI might be more of a distraction to lead the devoted players away from the dev studio's true motives of just taking the money they drained from their players and not being honest about the nature of the Chinese Gotcha game industry.... as much as I enjoy Gotcha games... I also know full well that any Gotcha genre game made by a Chinese game studio is guaranteed to be used as a cash grab by the dev studio. That's just what the pattern I've seen with my own eyes over the last 2 decades since getting deeply hooked on playing both Gotcha games and RPG genre games waaaay back on my 13th birthday. (For context about my age, I'm 34 years old as of March of this year and yeah I'm still a hardcore avid gamer.) So yeah, I still don't fully believe that the dev studio of Monmusu Girls are telling the truth with that convo that was translated since they never actually came out and made an actual announcement about it themselves.... the very fact that a Discord server mod who has been trying very hard to pick up the devs' slack of figuring out what happened is stuck cleaning up the mess the devs left in their own game's devoted community is all the proof I need to have real doubts about the honesty and integrity of the dev studio who made this awesome game only to spit in the faces of their fans like this. That said, while I really do want to believe the dev's are just trying to scrounge up the funds to dig their way out of this supposed bankruptcy situation they claim to be in, the lack of official announcements about what is going on is making that more than a bit difficult for me to believe.
I have never seen a game with 55% positive reviews keeping me in awe for an hour straight! Literally wide eye, heart racing. All I'm thinking is what girl I'll get on my team next! THEY'RE JUST 10/10 ONE AFTER THE OTHER!!! If the cast has so much greatness, I DON'T CARE IF THE GAMEPLAY IS SH1T OR IT'S A CASHGRAB! (It is definitely a cash grab with unhinged pricetags on everything, lol, not spending a yen on anything, even if extremely tempting, I know I'll be ruined in a day) JUST... WOW >_< O_O <3<3<3
My playtime consists of downloading huge patch. :( Then my download broke. :D Game that does not run deserves thumbs down!!! -_-
There has been no support nor updates for a long time. There are a limited # of Chars so team building is limited as well. There is very little info and when you get to lvl 80, that's end game with nothing but grinding to upgrade equipment at best. Daily tasks are broken when you reach lvl 80 because you click on the completed tasks and you get nothing from them. I give it a Meh.
