Mom Life Simulator

SO here is a review with some feedback. The game can be improved upon. But the gameplay loop and tutorial right now is just not good. I spent some time looking for the bottle or dog food only to find out from the steam stream that you have a tool wheel with "Q." So this game needs a more refined tutorial. Because it took me a few fails to just find that out. Grabbing one item at a time? Why can't I grab the 3 dishes I need. Or when picking up trash, maybe allow me to grab the trash can or bag and pick up items that way. A mom's work is about efficiency and everything in this game screams the opposite. Throughout the game you are fighting a timer. The timer is from the baby and dog, You need to worry about feeding/watering/taking care of both of them. Forget about one? You restart all the way back on day one. So the gameplay loop makes me not want to come back for more. I basically ask myself "why would I want to keep repeating the same thing over and over again." Building toys just is not fun. You use "WASD" "Space" and "Arrow Keys" to build toys. And you click those keys until the parts get put in the right spot. No clue or inclination. The toy part might be so much better if parts were labeled, or even if you got to use your mouse to drag and place when building the toys. When shopping, it felt janky. Not sure if that's the right word to use. But it was not smooth. Also when picking up toys, I wish the toy box actually showed toys filling up instead of entering the void lol. And lastly, AI art everywhere. It doesn't usually bother me but its on the steam page, its on every tutorial popup that you do get, and scattered throughout the house as well. Overall I can maybe say get it on sale and check it out, but we'll see if this game continues to actually get updates. I am very cautious of early access games at the moment.

This game is just freaking boring. They make the most mundane parts of life be a game, and while sometimes that works, on this game it doesn't. The whole things is deeply repetitive with a lot of mini games to do different things. The days also mostly go the same and I question what is going on in this house. The dad and the elder child are lazy AF and seem to puke around the house daily. It's all they do. Dad doesn't work and kid doesn't go to school. They just throw up in the living rooms and bed rooms for you to clean, and that's the gameplay loop along with shopping and making toys. You also feed the dog and the creepy looking baby...the eyes are soulless. Don't get me started on the shopping. From afar, there are icons to show you what you need, but once you get close to the items, the icons blend with the item and it's hard to track what you need. Combine this with the fact that I can only hold ONE THING AT A TIME and it adds frustration to the mix. I respect that a game is hard to make, but I almost fell asleep playing this. Oh, and it also has AI assets for some things though it's minimal for what I noticed.

I don't know how much potential the game has but what is certain is that instead of saving every completed quest and letting you continue where you left off, it starts you over every time and it's very annoying. When assembling toys, time doesn't help you at all. It takes a while to find each part and again, it's nonsense. So far, it's just a game against the clock. Nothing fun.

I dont like the fact that if you dont meet the time requirements you start over from day one. If the game automatically saves as it claims then you should start from the day you fail.

👶 Mom Life Simulator – leider sehr einseitig und eintönig Mom Life Simulator war leider nicht wirklich mein Fall. Die Idee ist zwar okay, aber das Spiel wirkt auf mich sehr einseitig und schnell eintönig. Man hat relativ früh schon das Gefühl, alles gesehen zu haben, und der Reiz lässt dadurch schnell nach. Klar, man kann es sich mal geben, aber meiner Meinung nach eher dann, wenn es deutlich günstiger ist. Zum aktuellen Eindruck würde ich persönlich eher abraten. ⚠️ Nicht komplett furchtbar, aber für mich zu repetitiv und zu wenig abwechslungsreich.

I cannot recommend this game. I played the tutorial and literally did not have enough time because of how slow the character moves and picking up every single item one at a time. So slow. I refunded this game. If it gets better, I may rebuy it, but until then I'll be avoiding it.
