I have been playing this game SINCE LAUNCH ON MOBILE, which would mean I've been playing this game for at least 5 years. I've spent some money on it too, got to know a bit of the community and have been studying the way the devs handle updates and critiism since forever. my conclusions? this game is a P2W mess, it doesn't reward anyone but the wallet warriors who are ok with spending 20-30 euros during each new event. the whole thing relies on the scummiest FOMO mechanism ever imagined: a new (and meta-defining) ship/aircraft/weapon comes out, usually as a first prize of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gacha you have to spend tens (even hundreds) of euros on to even remotely hope to get something useful out of, and if you don't pay for it you might lose the chance to ever acquire it again. Ever heard of programmed obsolency? The devs seem to have mastered the use of this scummy practice. Every in game object you might have bought during events or on the market will always be completely wrecked by the newer stuff that comes out with the next event, no matter what. And even if you give up and buy the new stuff (that you're never sure to obtain btw, because aside from the overpriced bundles the actual best items in the game are locked behind gachas) the devs will always introduce something that will smoke the ever loving ♥♥♥♥ out of you. They also will nerf the previous event/battlepass equipment to make sure that it cannot compete with the new stuff. Cherry on top: "events" are nothing but gachas with the same 3 boring ass limited time modes that rotate monthly but never actually change built around them. No story, no lore, no care. they just want your money. Boycott this game, it's nothing but a shell of the fun, competitive one it used to be back in 2021-2022. don't spend a dime on it, buy a good game, get a nice ice cream outside with your friends or buy a present for a family member, you'd be spending your money in a more productive way anyways.
