The Idea of playing music to kill enemies is great. I firstly thought the instrument was only for like a minigame but then I realized it's purpose. I don't know if it just me but I couldn't beat the 2nd level with anything else than the easiest difficulty. Improvable but not so great rn.
"Minor Scale" is just like it says on the box, a hybrid tower defense and Dance Dance Revolution game. What do you do in the game? Experience the worst aspects of both TD games and Guitar Hero at the same time. A lot of amateur developers decide the most original thing any developer could possibly do is bolt Guitar Hero rhythm mechanics onto any other game and that will somehow make a perfectly good game format somehow better. While every amateur developer gleefully boasts this is the first time it has ever been done, every time it has been done before has been a complete disaster. So, too, is "Minor Scale". There's a backdrop "bug" theme that doesn't add anything new to TD games, and works even worse with the Guitar Hero mechanics, so that's a real missed shot. While I couldn't find this on the mobile app stores, everything about it looks and feels like it's a mobile app designed for mobile phones... for PC gaming enthusiasts, it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. The graphics aren't great, mobile tier backdrop with billboarded sprites because I guess the developer couldn't work out how to do 3D assets properly. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 3 players, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options. At the end of the day, my reviews are intended to help gamers find quality and avoid the dregs (with over 140,000 games on Steam... not all of them are masterpieces). If you think my review is wrong, definitely add this to your library, download it and play it... it's surely exactly the kind of game you'll love (but I doubt it will work out that way). Game reviews are for gamers to share their thoughts and help others choose where to spend valuable time. If my review helps you to grab or reject this game, then my job is done.

Minor Scale, 2D / 3D hibrit, ilginç bir estetiğe sahip, ritim tabanlı bir kule savunma oyunudur. Müziğin gücüyle evlerini tehdit eden tüyler ürpertici Crawlies'lerden doğaçlama seanslarını korumak için sevimli küçük Critter'lardan oluşan bir grubu yöneteceksiniz.
This game has such a vibe and I love it but I completed in 22 mins. Wondering if there is more to come or a second game which is bigger. It has potential <3
Very short, technically no end when I finish the 3 levels. Very easy, with the last difficulty suddenly doing a bit of a drop in difficulty and relying on a lot of luck to get through? It is the same rhythm for every single level. Its cute though, 5/10
