Mini ship wars

Lucky me gets to write the first review for Mini ship wars (the developer didn't bother capitalising each letter in the title). This isn't really a game, it's a ripoff of a GameMaker Studio 2 template/tutorial for making a top down shooter game. It's complete garbage. GMS is a complete garbage engine, and copying + pasting a template for the engine isn't suddenly going to generate a video game of any quality. They didn't even bother making a fullscreen mode. Why would anyone do such a thing, publish such a terrible non-game on Steam, you ask? Well take a look at the ridiculous $10 USD price tag, and it suddenly becomes clear. This is a nasty cash grab. Then you look at the name of the developer, "Phoenixxx Games". They've pulled this crap before. That's all they do. Don't reward this amoral asset flipping garbage. An important note: Phoenixxx Games are known asset flippers and have previously taken other developers work and put it on Steam in an attempt to scam gamers and get paid for someone else's effort. One example of Phoenixxx Games doing this is Cat From The Box, which is really the "[url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kje_0eMY7g4]Cat and Food[/url]" asset, written by the actual developers, Softrave. Asset flips are harmful to the gaming industry. They're nothing but cash grabs, and they harm genuine indie developers by reducing their visibility on Steam. They make it harder for gamers to find decent games made by genuine game developers. Because this game has all the same low quality as an asset flip, as well as the other problems with it, it's impossible to recommend.

Very good, i literally got to level 15 and had to stop playing because its not addictive. Clearly worth the £7.
