I have been giving this game a try and the result is this is absolutely Pay to Win, in the second region of the Campaign with several levels ahead of the monsters, I can barely make it thru, its absolutely Brutal. Considering you can pay to buy gems to buy random boxes for gears, chars and battle boosts... well that says it all, its a Pay to Win game, where if you don't pay or get unspeakably lucky, you won't be able to progress in either online or offline, because the enemies in the Campaign are OP and the only players to progress to the higher tiers of the Arena are payers. Now I know people will say you can win gems and thus buy some of those boxes... you win a gem or a couple per first wins in the Campaign at each of the 3 difficulties, and the match I did fight in the Arena I won 1, otherwise you get a few by completing achievements, the char box cost 200 gems, and the gear box cost 25 for a cheap one and 200 for a good one... and all of it a random boxes, so obviously you have low chances of getting anything descent and high chances of getting crap, you can't buy any chars or gear outside of those boxes which basically bind progress in large part to how much $ you are willing to throw at the game. So this game is going to quickly go nowhere for any Free Players, and considering I know how much those random box crap work from other games that all embraced that crappy gimmick, Payers are still likely to have to pay several hundreds of $ to get anything good. Also said gear not only you again need to get lucky to get the good stuff, but also once equipped you can't unequip it without paying gems and if you don't know that and you try to replace the gear, it delete the one you used to have equipped... nice to learn wasting a blue 1 star item because they didn't say anything about that, considering again how rare those bleeding gems are... it would cost 50 gems to unequip a blue 2 star item from one of my char... which is twice the price of rolling the cheap random box... or a quarter of rolling for a char or good random box... how nice. Also if your chars die you can either pay with those rare gems to revive them in battle, for 25 gems for all if all your chars died and to continue said battle, or after battle for a couple of gems each, unless you go back to your Barracks and pay gold... which while better if you got 2 chars killed you can say goodbye to quite a cut of your gold earned in that mission.

Might and Mayhem has been on the scene way way before it comes to Steam. Might not be news to most people but I'd rather wish it not be news to me. Steam seriously needs to get into more games that aren't nearly dead by the time they get on board.
It says "competitive" but thats a LIE. Its not competitive if you need to pay for boost your heroes or to boost your stats in pvp or pve. WTH how is competitive when you need to pay for buy gems so you can improve your atack points or use special efect skills in a battle?? This game its a total loss and a trash x trash x trash.
I've found most of the complaints are from people who don't seem to want to Learn How to Play the Game. It's not something you can mindlessly tap to win, there's actual strategy in team building, and gear load-outs, it's not just "pay to win", as, even if you Tried that, you'd be disappointed, because you'd Still need to Learn to Play the Game to actually Win, otherwise you'll be getting schooled by FreePlayers who Actually understand the game. Here's some pointers, first don't get rid of Any champions, just save them, and experiment in single player early on, or during days when reviving is free. Second, save all gems for equipment, either superior crates, or removing, the latter being an admitted bummer, but here's the thing, and more importantly, thirdly, arena duel all day, for actual exp and gold grinding. If you can get good, you can even get extra rewards, Plus you'll gain a better understanding of the importance of Actually knowing the game. Sometimes you need your ass kicked in a few times, before you get Why what you were doing was wrong, or was timed poorly, or whatever. Understanding the mechanics, and getting into resource management, knowing when, and on who, or what, to spend gems, orbs, and gold makes the game more intense, and thus more addictive, but you've gotta put in that initial effort, or Of course you're not going to have a good time. Oh, also, you could risk gems in tournys for decent output, but it's kind of a gamble, especially if you're new, and you won't get those gems back, unless you grind them back. Though it Is a decent way to stick your toe into higher level strat building, which is kind of fun, but as i said, it's a gamble.
P2W and unbalanced characters in pvp. No point in healing reduction when it's gone on opponents turn and opponent heals more than you damage them or you could have used a character with stun instead. Certain characters are simply stronger in all situations when it comes to team compositions. Leveling and progressing is slow in the main story mode because the exp/gold rewards for beaten levels are very low and enemies get tougher faster than you can level up. Offline gold gain is also very slow and using gold to upgrade equipment costs a lot (example: 500 gold with chance to fail for level 3-> item upgrade) for a small benefit. You can get around 200 gold from early story missions which might sound like a lot but it can all go to failed upgrades and hero revives in battles with tough enemies that need slow grinding, good battle boosts or better heroes to overcome. You only get a few gems per battle, but the premium boxes with good items cost 200 gems each and they have a random chance to reward each item, meaning that getting anything useful can take multiple tries. There are more generous f2p games out there so I don't recommend this game.

It's a good mobile game without any major problems as far as I can see. Nothing new, but nice change to constant card games. Tried this game because it looked like it was being bullied. You can go level and get your items up in singleplayer, learn the story about the game and it is possibly a time spender. Each campaign mission are repeatable and can be done in 3 different difficulties where the rewards and difficulty increase. The game doesn't force you to play agains other players, but when you have received your items through campaign, you can go and play with other players in current season and receive additional rewards based how well you have fared. Progression in singleplayer well made and you will receive gold, boosts and gems through battle, this is quite time consuming, but it's not like you want to jump in to pvp straight away... I suggest people first try to go as far as possible in campaign without upgrading any characters to learn their gimmicks and then upgrade fighters in 2 or 3 team composition. Pros: + Game that goes straight to the point by starting a tutorial when you start the game for the first time. (Steam only I guess, I wonder how I connect my account to my mobile app...) + Tells clearly in singleplayer campaign when you meet a new enemy with new abilities. + Automatic play button, let the AI play the fight for you. + Quaranteed elite character with random properties is under massive paywall of 100 euros. + Battle skills can only be used once in a fight. It's nothing major, but can turn the tide. + Starting characters have a good variety of skills, level them up to evolve them to get more item slots. + You can delete unwanted character you get and get boost that you can use to level up your favorites. However your fighters need a break at some point. + Fun animations and campaign story. Cons: - Battle girl doesn't have victory animation (Tumbles and straights then swings a sword to shoulder, while knight hurrays and mage plays gitarr with his staff). - Repeating background music (You will turn it off at some point). - Finding right items for your build is time consuming. - Should have general tips so people could find some more options to manage their gameplay more casually. - Fighters could have fighter types so people would realise if this fighter is focusing more into defense than damage, control or healing. - Harder to get gems the more you play in same campaign mission.
Awesome game! For everyone saying this is a pay2win game. Its really not, ofcourse it helps you alot buy its well playable without paying anything (like i do). If you are into stratigic fights and up for a challenge i really recommend this game for you. Also the community online is very nice.
