Midsummer Leg's Dream

"Midsummer Leg's Dream" is a really lazy tech demo/joke game where you control a leg that stomps on stuff in a lazy, low poly environment. I really don't know what the point of blowing $100 on Steam Direct just to publish this was, but here we are. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

I'm normally fine with movement in games, but this made me really nauseous. Maybe because I already had a headache. The first time I played, I couldn't get above rank C. Had to restart (it doesn't save your progress). Not sure if there's a glitch with the progress bar or if you can get into an unwinnable situation. Also, the green jellies are horrible (like in real life).
