For a 4.99 EA game made by one person it definitely has value and potential, but obviously needs a lot more work. Good vibes from the developer thus recommended as leap of faith.
Grafik ist...ok. Steuerung sehr schwammig, vor allem im first person. Ein paar mehr Erklärungen wären auch gut. Story? Sorry, nicht überzeugend. Wird hoffendlich besser alles.
Introduction to an indie zombie game with some good and bad ideas. The story doesn’t give you a lot to chew on. There’s the usual zombie apocalypse that just happens out of nowhere, and you’re supposed to be the chosen one who is immune to the virus. Except for a few lines during the loading screen, there’s nothing else to make the setting interesting. Especially because the game start with the generic car crash after which your friend is suddenly gone. The game falls in the third-person action genre. You can walk around, run with the limited stamina bar that recharges pretty fast, jump over short obstacles, scavenge for resources, and shoot zombies. There is no need to be concerned about survival aspects, as there are none. All you can collect on the map are screws, rocks, bullets, and a variety of other items that allow you to recover your health or make ammo for your weapons. Because the game is still in early access, you can only play the first chapter. It offers an open map with only a few locations. Although you can venture into the wilderness, it is generally safer to stick to the main road and lights. You don't have a map, so it's easy to get lost. There's also nothing noteworthy to find out there anyway, and there’s an invisible wall or miles of generic map. You can find a couple of locations for an achievement, but they are too random and not fun to look for. Everything you need is on the main road. One thing to note is that time flows from night to day. However, night time is extremely dark and impossible to navigate, even with a flashlight. There are no waypoints, so you don’t know where to go or do. There’s one part where you need to look for a key in a village; it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack. Another pointless idea are collectibles that can be anywhere on the map. Shooting is done well. You can’t exactly shoot all over the place because of limited resources, but there’s more than enough if you hit the targets. Bullets can be obtained from several sources or created in your inventory. If you discover a workbench, you might also improve your weapon. The current version only has a handgun and a rifle, making the selection rather limited. One leftover from early access is the ability to max out the pistol by going into the negative resources. One interesting method for saving ammunition is to attack zombies with your dog. You obtain this buddy shortly after the start, and you can give it simple commands. Another option is the highly efficient bat. You can button mash and kill a zombie before it recognizes what's happening. Unfortunately, there are difficulty spikes that always show up in these games. While the normal enemies are easy and don’t pose a threat, there is a mini-boss that appears out of nowhere and consumes all of the ammo you have carefully saved up so far. Later you also get cultists that kill you with a few hits. Another huge issue is that enemies respawn when you load the game. Since you can save at any time, it’s very easy to get stuck or completely break the game if you save in the middle of an enemy horde. You can respawn on a random spot, but you lose all your ammo and weapons. Then you die again and have weapons back. Also, enemies stand still for a moment or until you hit them. Another sign of early access.
I played the game from the beginning to the end without getting bored. Although it was early access, I did not encounter any major bugs. The level design, mechanics and story are very successful. Especially our companion dog rex added another pleasure to the game. I believe that this game will be much better in the future. I look forward to the second cheapter. I extremly recommend it!
Güzel Oyun
I really like playing this game, especially the funny way characters fall when rolling down from high spots. The spray painting part is super fun too. Battling lots of zombies and finding cool equipments adds to the excitement. Even though it's made by a single indie developer, he has done a great job with the game!
A huge project made by one person. I love playing this game; it gives me a mix of emotions with its great story and gameplay. The fact that it's still in early access and will keep getting better makes me optimistic about its future. Thanks to everyone involved, and I can't wait for the game to continue!
This was great to play. Finished chapter 1 ...wanting more. Looking forward to chapter 2 and so on. Mechanics were good. Loved the game...worth playing....
if you want to relax and play a chill survival/zombie game then you are in the right place this game have so much potential the mechanics are fun to toy around gun play and close combat feels effective and the ambiance feels terrifying as it should. I would definitely recommend!
