About
Do you hear the knocking in the night? The footsteps in the hallway? Do you see the figures moving in the shadows? The danger is hidden in plain sight.
Above the natural, physical world we know lies the realm of metaphysics.
In MetaPhysical you can go hunting for these creatures with up to 5 other friends to put an end to their sinister activities!
Whether an ordinary ghost or a demon, your task is to identify the rumbling creature and then finish it off.
Or you can decide to challenge your friends and compete against them in the unique PvP mode!
You have the choice to play as a creature and put the fear of death into your friends. Or you can play as a hunter and exorcise a ghost friend!
First equip yourself with a selection of helpful items before you go hunting. In the catalog you'll find all the items you need for your hunt: from EMF equipment to a carpet to camouflage the devil's traps. After you feel ready, you can look for the next mission in the newspaper. What creature it is, what difficulty level it is or whether it's a shy or aggressive one, you'll find out once you get to the haunted house and get to work.
Once you arrive at the haunted house, you can equip yourself with your equipment and start searching for the ghost's signs inside the house. To do this, you can consult your journal, finding the descriptions of all the sinister creatures. Once you have identified which creature it is, you can set out to defeat it. For example, if it's a normal ghost, you'll have to burn the human remains. On each map you will find a small graveyard with labeled graves. In the house you will find notes with possible names on them. If the majority of the notes point to a certain grave, you have to open it, pour gasoline and salt from your trunk on the bones and set them on fire. If the ghost bursts into flames, your job is done. If you run into trouble, you can leave the job at any time with your car.
The game uses random-based logic: ghost names, placement of notes, difficulty level or aggression of the creatures are reshaped at each level, so no game feels like the game before.
Looking for the deepest game in the genre? Then you've come to the right place!
Identify the creature, in order to know how to act against it. To do this, gather evidence using various items such as EMF devices, thermometers, motion detectors, holy water, etc.
Kill the creature before it can kill you: Depending on the type of creature, you may have to burn the human remains, perform an exorcism, or use a special weapon in the fight against it.
Co-op Multiplayer: experience a top-class horror spectacle together with up to five friends!
PvP Multiplayer: Whether as a creature or a hunter, compete against your friends!
Voice Recognition: use your voice to speak to the creatures or perform an exorcism. The game is also suitable for mute people. Use the built-in voice function for this!

feels like it could be a fun ghost/monster hunting game but 2 things: 1: the settings keeps reverting back to standard (worst of which is the music i need to keep going in a turn of every single time) 2: feels a little too easy sometimes compared to Demonologist (you know the monster just by looking at it ex. if its a Djin you just need to look for tattoes) Edit: after playing it a little more: 2+: just cleared it on Wincherster (hardest) with no evidence at all and insta killed the ghost... way too easy you need to look at that 3: its not scary like Demonologist, Project unkown and etc. (not putting phasmophobia in here since thats not scary either), no jump scare, no scary sounds or fast movements... this is legit a zombie game how slow they are moving its not fast enough to be scary... idk what to say or how to fix it but really kills the game fast for me Conclusion: dont buy this game if you are into a scary game but only if its for the refrence for the show or you just like beating easy quests and going up in level unlocking stuff (where this game is better than all the rest in that aspect)
Really, really, really good. Its like being the Winchester family except incompetant!
Super cool!!!!!
new game and it is amazing~! been playing all day with my family. only issue is the music auto coming on even though you have it set as off. it overstimulates me. but this game is so much fun!
This game presented a different way of dealing with ghosts and mythical creatures that I really like. Similar games I've played are Phasmophobia and This is A Ghost.
if ur a fan of the Winchester u will get what u want i assure you phasmo, demonologyst ect are baby work
This is the type of indie game you love to see. Take your ghost hunting game of choice, add it to the blender, then fill to top with the monster of the week genre (a la Supernatural). When you go to hunt a ghost you go and actually hunt it. You need to figure out who the ghost is, and what type of ghost it is, then based on the type of ghost you need to take steps to eliminate/cleanse/destroy the ghost. Sometimes that means performing an exorcism, sometimes it means digging up their bones and setting them on fire, etc. etc. The big draw (imo) is the progression system, as it's a really interesting take on how to make the player feel like they are becoming a better and more experienced hunter. Every ghost game has your "you're level X now so you can buy new tools" aspect to progression, and this game is no exception, but in addition, your player account also gains experience per ghost. As you keep cleansing/killing/exorcising a particular ghost you become more experienced at identifying the ghost's tells. Think of this as a deeper version of Phasmophobia's ghost ability system. In Metaphysical, each ghost can interact with you and the environment in certain ways. So if you hunt enough of a certain ghost, notes about the tells appear in your journal, so you might see a cross on the wall turn upside down, and that will allow you the player to elimiinate possible ghosts based on information you the character gained from hunting them so many times. You can also use this information to your advantage to keep yourself safe. You might be able to avoid death because you know this ghost can't walk over salt, or this ghost doesn't like holy water. Last part of this recommendation is the fact that this is an indie game with passionate and responsive devs. The developers opened up a discord and have set up a bug reporting pipeline (it has lots of other stuff too but the bug reporting is what's relevant here). I absolutely do not want to set any expectation on response time, because I am not the devs and I do not know their workload. That being said, I joined the discord to report a bug, saw that someone else had already posted the same, and it was identified and squashed within 2 days. If that doesn't tell you the devs care about this game I don't know what will. Anyway, game is good, you should play it.
Servers are absolute ass, gotta love how the two devs that are in charge of this let the project go down the toilet, This is the last time that I'll be supporting an indie dev team on a co-op horror game. Thanks Andre, I won't be supporting any future projects from you.
is nice
