Hi! I'm Kiakkers, I'm 15, and this is my first indie game. I have been learning game development since I was around 9, and to this day, I'm still figuring out how it's done. Development on Metal Goose began in June 2024, and any feedback you can provide is greatly valued!

im leaving a positive review cause im 100% sure if i could play the game i would love it but right now it is unplayable for me and the screen is just flashing colours and objects
Let me start this review off by saying this game has A LOT of potential! The art work is amazing, combat is intuitive & rewarding while not being overly difficult. As a 1st project from a 15 YEAR OLD this is truly a great work in progress. But that's exactly what it is, a work in progress. The game is unfortunately terribly optimized, resulting in constant lag spikes & frame drops to the point of it not really being playable past the tutorial since Boomer Shooter's rely on that steady 60fps smooth gameplay. I know this game is only in early access & been out for a couple of months, but I think these issues are too much even for an early access game. I wrote this review to remind myself to come back to this game in a few months or years to check it out after it's been optimized, and to also let the creator know what needs to be improved on in the future. I look forward to (hopefully) changing my review in the coming months after these issues have been addressed. 1.5 / 10 (Rating based ENTIRELY on the fact that it doesn't run :( at least good visuals)

Veeeery Janky and buggy. Needs LOADS of work still. Be careful with the sound menu. Its a bit of a buggy mess that is liable to blow your ears out. But also very appealing. Combat is already really satisfying. Especially when hits connect with the enemies. Never will forget what was my first hit with the Rockethammer. Some things I think it needs besides tons of bugfixes: - Actual ambience. - Combat music should cut out, lower down or change to something less hectic when out of combat. - Some of the weapons feel a bit are too slow. Burt I think the actual issue is the jankyness when switching weapons which I feel like its supposed to be an integral part of gameplay. if that is the case consider putting some of the weapons on inputs that directly fire them, like the grenade thrower in Doom Eternal. I'd love to built up heat with the bolt thrower and then unleash the hammer in a hectic moment. Having to change in the hectic of combat to the Hammer first makes me want to stay with the current weapon, especially consider the universal usefullness of the base axe. - The second form of the first melee weapons feels completely useless to me. - If it weird that the soldiers can't leave the pods after entering once. I would give a more severe reason, like that the soldiers need to basically be implanted into the pods, like the woman in the Homeworld game, which chooses to give up a normal existence so she can guide the mothership and last bastion of her people on their journey.
very good game i love the story however there are a lot of bugs but i love this and im waiting for part 2
0 game 1950 game not 2026 xd full of bugs & sh!t stupid game
My screen used to be white, but i guess i was just tweaking because now it works. Great game, although the amount of ULTRAKILL references left me in a coma. I mean, did you really think you were slick by making the tv man say "Do you... Ever think of sleeping forever, fellow robot?" It aint 7-2 bro im sorry

Its free, but i had to waist minutes of my life that I can never get back just to find out that this game is free because you pay in time playing it. Then you realize that its completely absent of anything resembling fun. Dont make the same mistake as me. Don't even bother with this one ladies and gentlemen.

NOT FINISHED/10 Well what can i say.. for a FREE Early access.. its kinda.. intresting? Well, first off.. movement, sometimes it feels like im on slippery ice or i have a stick drift.. ON KEYBOARD, but you still can play the game, And next up: Enemy spawn. They just appear out of nowhere, without a sound! As for the sounds.. something missing, charge attack sounds, walking, and just a proper sound, you know, that caught me off guard when i heard that attack sound, it wasnt a sound it was a voice acting, and it was fun Clearly, this game have somekind of potential(i just liked the parry, its awesome, also the desings of weapons and variants are interesting too, can we have a somekind of shooting range so people can check variants properly and not just in the gameplay?) OH AND BTW: Every game DESERVES a proper graphics settings, hope the future update will have them, and for some reason on the first start the game didnt open in fullscreen and crashed after i clicked it, no problems after that except its kinda laggy(my laptop isnt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i swear ) P.S ik its early access and the game is raw, just making some wishlist
