Only 1 hour in, enjoying it so far, keep that in mind reading :) Needs a bit of improvement here and there but overall is really nice to play. There is no tutorial - you need to just "know" how JRPG games usually work and behave. Music is really good (not 8bit/retro) and voice acting is decent for a free game - optional, too. Story is creative - especially with words and names - but so far a rather 'normal' fantasy story. Controls and gameplay feel a bit rough on the edges, but nothing too concerning. Important: Unless fixed by now, there have been some instances where I did get stuck and had to restart the game. Save often (also DON'T press F12!). [Edit, May 10: Save before opening every chest to not loose progress!]
Positives:

Music (beautiful, really liked the piano bit so far)
Story & idea (I like the names and the characters)
Scenery/graphics (looks good and detailed)
Details (like little side-things you can do, little characters/items you can inspect, etc.)
Sound effects
Voice Acting (decent and good ones)

Negatives:

That BIG font (can't read it that well, but it is only used a few times and never in dialogue, which is very good)
The Starting-Screen is loud and not skippable (even when nice the first few times)
Minor bugs like collision, texts, subtitles, etc.
F12 just completely restarts the game (without warning :()
No options (not even sound options)
No real signal that you can move/interact with the game after a cutscene (so you just wait and have to "guess" when to move, but luckily often it is kinda obvious)
No quicksave and only 3 slots to save (like most JRPGs) (Please @dev, add quicksave)

A great game, with wonderful art and designs, but is marred with poor balance, questionable design choices, and some errors with sound production. It's free so worth your time, but if it wasn't? Definitely would be on the line.
https://youtu.be/sk8fvbTTTR0 https://youtu.be/pfe0frHSN3E Meta Revelations: Ring Spirits is probably one of the best examples of a good game that is buried under poor combat balancing and design issues. One one hand, we have a rich world with and exhaustive amount of lore. One you uncover both as you go through the story and through books you can read peppered throughout the explorable areas. It also has amazing character designs; some of the best I’ve seen in just about any video game. The story is also very interesting and has some cool twists and turns throughout. Not to mention there’s VOICE ACTING. But, on the other hand....the game suffers from pacing, combat balance issues, and inconsistent sound production. To me, it became frustrating to play because of the combat, but the story and world Blackwinggames created...You guys know me: I am really quite forgiving of poor design or combat balance if the story is strong enough. This game had a strong story, but it really tested the limits of my patience. At its heart, Ring Spirits is a labour of love. You can instantly tell from the story, and the designs of the characters and monsters. It’s also a warning of what can happen with a single developer. Without exhaustive testing and re-testing, from multiple people, a lot of important things can be overlooked. This causes a frustrating play experience that makes the game somewhat more of a chore than the enjoyable experience I KNOW it could have been. +Amazing designs of all the characters, especially the monsters +Good story that avoided most common tropes +VOICE ACTING!! =Debuffs are Tied to Elements. Damaging magic also has a chance to apply a debuff, depending on the type of element used. I thought this was clever, until I used it. The system can be frustrating in that if an enemy is strong to a certain element you NEED to use to apply a debuff, you end up healing them trying to apply it. =Quest log, but at times can be overly vague. -Pitifully low experience for battles for most of the game. -Sound design needs a lot of work. Often certain voice files were played at the wrong time, or were too quiet and were drowned out by the music.

this game is awesome i love the opening intro to Meta Revelations
Fun little game. The art gives the game an almost-dreamlike quality to it, and the world is interesting, blending magic and technology like the classic Might and Magic games, making me want to learn more about it. I appreciate the cold open, thrusting you into the world, and giving it a feeling that everything is already established, which I think is a huge plus. There are multiple fantasy races, not just humans, which I really like, and the voice acting is good. I just started, but so far, I am really enjoying it.

One of if not the best free rpgmakers I have ever played on steam. I'm unsure if the developers are going to make a sequel but if they do I'm all in.
