About
Rosewall’s strength has always come from its people. Who better to run a city than the people who built and live in it? As a new face in town, you’ll have to find your own path while confronting the costs, hidden and real, of doing things the old way.
Single-player, story-driven experience set in a fantasy world where weapons and war are a thing of the past.
Your own shop with views of your storefront and workshops that can also be customized with décor sets.
Manage your employees and keep up with a busy calendar of events.
A colorful cast of NPCs keep you on your toes; each of you employees have a unique story to tell, as well as passive bonuses to help your shop grow.

In Merchants of Rosewall, you’ll set up your own shop and fill it with what the citizens of Rosewall desire. You’ll need plenty of resources, long days of work, and a crew of talented and creative Companions to help you succeed in the cultural and commercial hub of continent of Belvedera, where weapons have been made illegal and war is a thing of the past.
To keep up with the quotas set by Estoq Trading Company, you’ll have to use your profits to bring in even more resources and employees to maintain your shop’s profits. Invest in your Companions and learn their stories to unlock new recipes and game-changing perks.

As you settle into your rhythms, you'll face all kinds of challenges—fickle clients, stingy suppliers, personal dilemmas from your staff, demanding bosses, and more—that could change how you see the city, your shop, and the world.
As you grow your shop, stories from the past will shape the relationships you form and the choices you make. Finding the best folks to hire is only the first step: You’ll need to look to Rosewall’s Orcs, Giants, Elves, and more to get ahead of the curve.

Through nuanced and complex conversations with dozens of unique characters, players will choose what products to make based on available supplies, customer demand, and the skill of their Companions. Fulfilling a large order can be good for your pocketbook, but what if a sudden change in the weather causes the cost of your go-to ingredients to skyrocket? All the while, you’ll unravel a mystery that could impact everyone—including you, your customers, and your Companions—in Rosewall.

This game starts off very interesting. I do like the mechanics of running the shop. The plot drags on a little before you get into the day to day operations. The game is super fun to buy and stock your shelves. That said, it feels, and appropriately, like you cannot make goods fast enough to start. The problem with this is there is a lot of dialogue upfront, and so you don';t get to the 'running of the shop' quick enough or long enough for early game. I fee like the story aspect could be parsed between days or kicked further down the progress. All in all, I do look forward to playing this game more, as it is finally opening up into bigger profit and expansions times. It did crash on me after a few hours, but this was pre patch. TLDR Real plodding start but fun mechanics and interesting story. Definitely worth a try
I'm enjoying the game so far. I think the story is cute and I love the management aspects. I have not been experiencing the memory leak that others have pointed out, and I frequently play while I have Opera GX running (which tends to require a lot of RAM). I hope they will be able to fix that so everyone can experience the game. If you like cute/cozy management games, you'll probably like this one. Definitely a good buy on sale, but I'm hoping they decide to pair with another indie game for a bundle!
I've played it through and really enjoyed it. The art is cute, the character designs are great, and the core game loop is fun. There was some crashing, and I felt like time periods between story beats became increasingly too long, particularly near the end of the game when you have so much money that the core game loop becomes superfluous. That said, I am glad I played it. It was a fun 20 hours.
Super fun game with cute character designs and intriguing storyline! I personally like the balance between managing the store and the lore, and so far the characters are likeable! So far the only issue is the bug where the button to speak to the Parade's vendors disappears unless I restart the game. I almost spent all of my money buying stuff thinking that they won't talk unless I buy everything! Everything else seems smooth, though!
The game is really fun and chill. New patch fixed the memory loss issue, no more crushing or freezing your pc anymore!
****************************************************** A very good storytelling game with intriguing gameplay. It's not simply about reading the story and the conversations between the other characters; you also have to manage your business, hire workers to help you, buy what you need to keep creating, and stock up on supplies for sale. Plus, it holds a secret within its stories. Its visuals are very appealing; I love the character designs. It has various configuration options and Steam achievements. What I would really appreciate is a Spanish localization, because I feel like I'm missing out on information. I use Google Lens to translate games, and it's a bit cumbersome. It's a shame that it's not translated into Spanish, which is a very important and widely spoken language. There are also those of us who speak it (and pay for it). In short, a good game to enjoy, made with care.
Fun game... enjoying the story so far.
Fun cozy merchant game, devs put a long of love into it and it shows. You can also tell they wanted to do a LOT more with the game.
A patch has been released to address at least some of the issues, specifically the hanging save screen and force restarting of PC (which was caused by a memory leak based on other reports). The game is still having issues with the interface not showing up at times, and I've been still having to spam open the pause menu to get it to eventually show up. I encountered this with the test character I made for checking on the fixes, and experienced it within 9 minutes, so it doesn't seem to be a hard to replicate issue. The developer does not have any means to provide information about bugs besides a Discord server. I do not wish to be required to join a whole Discord server just for submitting a bug report, I have too many servers to keep track of as it is. I still want to recommend the game, but I can't while such a fundamental issue with usability is present.
Beautiful art, an in intriguing story and a satisfying gameplay loop come together for a great experience! The devs quickly fixed the bugs that came with it at the launch and I'm now more than happy to recommend this game that gives an old Kamishibai charm (iykyk) to the merchant genre of cozy games. The character designs are wonderful and as a disabled person who has had to use mobility aids, the rep was a wonderful surprise.
