Some of the text goes so fast that theres no time to read them. Got softlocked into one puzzle and gave up.
I liked this game a lot! I think my favorite part was the graphic design; the hand-drawn look and the bright white memory sequences work really well to create a creepy and unnerving atmosphere. The other really strong aspect is the story, which is a really dark (but interesting) concept to think about. I'd love to see it expanded on further. While the atmospheric music works well, I think the game could benefit from more sound effects. A lot of it felt weirdly quiet, and the lack of visual or audible feedback when interacting with some puzzle elements confused me a few times. I always think that the hardest part of puzzle games should be figuring out what the solution to the puzzle is, not figuring out how to interact with the puzzle in the first place. The game is also fairly short, with a playthrough taking about 30 minutes (I played it twice to get both endings). I don't think that's an issue, though, especially since you're getting the game for free. Overall, Memoria Altera is a strong sci-fi puzzle game that's definitely worth half an hour of your time. P.S. I don't usually write reviews, but since I know a couple of the developers (hi from the library!), I thought I'd write one here to help the game in the algorithm. I playtested an alpha of this game at one point last year, and it's really cool to see how far it's come since then.

Nice!!!
Interesting game, some hard puzzles but not too hard. The text goes by a bit fast so did play it more than once to get the text or try to. Interesting story. Not a very long game either. Over all for a free game I would say it is good.
