Perhaps a touch too meandering at times, Memento of Spring is a light, cozy read that I enjoyed a lot. Charming despite - and a little because of - its roughness in places, much like its main character. It's indulgently long and just full of cute girls goofing off and trying to deal with an adorable princess of calamity. Low stakes, no fear, what's better than this?
Cute, silly game that at times doesn't make a lick of logical sense but has a quirky fun charm keeping you going through to the end.

It utilizes a cute art style for the characters and gorgeous backgrounds setting the scene for this KN. The soundtrack consists of lovely piano melodies that come together with the story. Positives: Excellent for newcomers to VNs Art is high quality Soundtrack is relaxing Neutrals: Story can feel a bit average to experienced VN players Negatives: Pacing might feel prolonged during the middle as a main character likes to stray multiple times from the original objective. The ending may feel sudden, leaving some plot holes. Score: 7/10 GOOD
A satisfyingly mediocre VN with lots of positives and negatives but at least it won’t leave a massive hole in your pocket after purchasing. Graphics: 6.5/10 Each individual character design is great. I like how each and every character is unique in their own right, their postures and emotions also match their personality which is a nice touch. Though, the background sceneries are very basic…not a lot of detail was really put into them. At least the CGs look amazing, I’m impressed by all of those. Storyline: 5/10 To be fair, I’m not a massive fan of the story. They should’ve shorten or left some lines out as I felt like those lines were just thrown in there to make the story much longer than it should’ve been. There were too much ‘beating around the bush’ type lines I didn’t quite enjoy reading as they add nothing to the story. I also found the first two hours of reading to be quite boring…but as you progress, especially later into the 6 - 7 hour mark; it starts to really get interesting. And I liked the ending, it was very satisfying
seeing Juliane in her school uniform.
For the most part, it reminded me of Fault Milestone One…maybe that was their inspiration behind this? Who knows. You’ll see what I mean when you read both VNs. Sound: 6.5/10 Within the first hour or two, they’re quite repetitive. I didn’t mind this at all as all the music was great. For the most part, they also played and matched the scene being shows. A couple more good pieces here and there would’ve bumped up the score though. Gameplay: 7.5/10 Starting with two negatives: There is no window transparency adjustment, so you’re left with the same transparency throughout the entire VN…which should be fine for some people…it slightly bothered me though, but I got used to it after a while. There is also only ONE name color for all the names; this isn’t as bothersome if you pay close attention, but I thought I’d say it anyway. It would be nice to have the different names to be color coded like in some VNs though. Price: 6.5/10 I would happily pay £6.99 for this. Sure, it only has a mediocre story along with slightly above average soundtrack and no character voices, but this is a great deal for the length and journey you’re going to undertake.
