A mech tycoon simulator game. Mechsprofit takes place in the beginning of a mech industry revolution, where giant mechanized robots are as ubiquitous as cars nowadays. You, as a novice mech factory owner have to produce (profitable) commercial mechs in order to keep your factory running.

The game is not downright awful, but it feels lacking in many ways for what it cost. The basics of a tycoon game are there, but just barely. Most parts have no texture, the interface does not feel intuitive, and there are only a small handful of different parts for the mechs. First Impression Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2YFupxyRug You start out with a few basic parts and are able to unlock more for different mech categories. (head, body, legs, etc). The issue is that it takes forever to get enough resources to just do one unlock. Basically you make a few different models, send them to market, then just let your PC idle for 10+ minutes as you wait for money to increase enough to get another upgrade. You have three resources that slowly tick up: money, research, and industry. Looks like you can hire more staff to increase growth rates, but I was always lacking enough money to do so. Also, I did encounter some sound glitches where audio would randomly go in and out. While I can't recommend this game at the moment, I think it could be pretty good after a few updates. It's in VERY early access and is not priced appropriately for that.
This game takes an interesting take on mechs. This game focuses on the civilian use of mechs. Normally mech games revolve around giant mechs fighting, but I've never enountered a game that featured civilian non-combat mechs before. In this way this game is unique. It's been suggested in the forums that combat mechs be added, and the dev said he would consider it after the core mechanics are in place. But this game includes currently the ability to make mechs for racing, transportation, and general use. The game has a lot of features planned for the future, but in this stage of early access a lot of it hasn't been implemented yet. I do encourage people to consider this game for it's uniqueness, or to keep an eye on it for when more features are completed.

Let me start by saying this game - in its current state - is not great. It is amazing, an actual gem. Ok let me clarify that. The game, in and of itself is pretty basic - incredibly so - but its so so much fun to play. I find myself playing this game when I am frustrated with another game as this is just funny as hell to play. Wanna make a mech that looks like boobs on wheels/legs? GOOD here you are. Wanna make a mech that looks like your eyes will melt just by looking at it's sheer monstrosity? GOOD here you are. This game is basically spore creature creation meets mechs. I would LOVE to see more come from this game, I am a massive fan of Tycoon/business games and this one falls MAJORLY short on that aspect, however it is very very fun to play and a great stress reliever. Overal rating? 7/10 - just an insanely fun game to pick up for 10-15 minutes at a time *notes for the dev(s)* If you do read this I would like to see more things to do with the business side of things, e.g. the market actually changes to adapt to how something looks, rides etc. Other than that, which I know will be the part you guys will take the longest to do, I would LOVE to be able to ride my mechs
just wanted to leave a review for people. despite what seems like not many sales the dev still continues to update the game instead of just abandoning it like most people. Still needs work for the price but if you think this is something you would enjoy grab it on sale and help someone who doesn't abandon a game.
Very simplistic, yet very fun. Looking forward to further updates.
This game has a lot of potential, and I recommended it because of that. It may seem like fourteen dollars is a lot for a game in this stage, but for a tycoon with this much promise, I think it's worth it. There's no other game that I know of where you have the ability to be so creative in designing your own mechs. I believe that creative freedom will ultimately be where this game succeeds in. If the dev keeps it up, this really could end up on the same scale as KSP. But I do hope they add more size classes, like a human scale, where you could build around a human. I also think that large military mechs would be a good step, because again, I don't know of any game where you can design your own fighting robots in much detail. Then again, that's just me.
i like tycoon and i really enjoyed the game you must try it
Rarely have I seen a 1-man indie dev SO dedicated to his project. It is still EA, but imagine the end project! This is one of the few EAs I recommend, enjoy the game, enjoy the journey! Edit Update: A one-man development team in an unstable economic world, who must provide for his family. It is sad to see this one go. Maybe he will be able to sell the rights to this title, and see it further developed as this project of his deserves. Till then, if then... best of luck to the creator of Mech$Profit.
its a good concept
