About the game: Meat Possible ch 1.5 is a side-scrolling, action game produced by Common Visual Entertainment and led by the designer Tan Qi Rong. You control the character Lunaya, who is a Knight Captain of the Epicton Kingdom. War has broken out between the kingdom and the Pig Tribe as Epicton finds itself under siege. You are tasked to take down their knight; The Elite Pig, to break the pigmen ranks. How to play: Control Lunaya's flight by using the [W] and [S] keys. Press [A] to pull back and summon your princess for a protective spell. Collecting red Power Crystal Ores will also allow you to dash forward with an aggressive attack using [D] As you fly through the air you must dodge, nullify, or defeat enemies while collecting coins, gems, and chests. Being struck by an attack or colliding with enemy causes you to lose -1 life, but collecting 3 chests of the same color in a row will earn you extra lives. You can also complete side quests: a powerup that triggers a small minigames to complete for points, gold, and an extra life. Raise your combo by defeating enemies without being hit to summon Allies with strong screen clearing abilities. Progress through the waves by earning enough points to challenge the three elite guard members. You will need the help of your Allies; summon them by using the mouse and performing the on screen commands. The Good: MeatPossible was a fun side scroller with a style that has the charm of older arcade classics that I adore. The flow of enemies, chests, and powerups felt balanced and its orchestrated song fit well with the action. In a few words, I loved the art style, the song was great and If you're the type of player that enjoys repetition until you get it right, you may enjoy this hunt for the Elite Pig Knight. The Bad: The biggest issue I had with with MeatPossible is that it was a short game and that it lacks in content . Though the simplistic, yet challenging aspect may keep you replaying the waves over and over until you defeat each mini-boss, there are still only three to defeat. When your character levels up the buff you receive at levels 8 & 16 doesn't feel like you're that much stronger. The shop also feels lack luster giving you only four things to buy and upgrade. Upgrading starting health is fine, but I didn't find the need to upgrade the multiplier other than to max it out for the achievement . By the time I got enough gems to unlock the companion I had beaten the boss already. You can also unlock a spell that wipes the screen, but your maxed to only two uses. Another thing the game struggles with is with the translation. If you do decide to read into the game's story it's painfully aware that this needs touched up by a native English speaker. Lastly, the story feels rushed. There is a 16 page webtoon comic that coincides with this universe that I wanted to promote this as a boon for the game, but much like the game the webcomic jumps suddenly between scenes too quickly. You can read the comic here The buggy: During my playthrough I noticed a few bugs. -The pig lasor attack hitbox seems to linger after the lasor starts to retract. -Bringing up the achievements in the menu locks up the game. You can't close out the steam page or shift tab back into the game forcing you to close the program. -Nullifying bugs mini quest grants you a life even if you don't click any of the bugs -slashing the rocks mini quest grants you a life even if you don't slash any of the rocks. - More than once I was unable to pick up the powerup ore so I was unable to dash attack. Not sure what caused it, but I have to restart to be able to pick them up in future runs. Most importantly -During combat with minibosses you seem to lose life without getting hit even if you're dodging attacks. I'm not sure if this is because of hit boxes with the miniboss abilities, or not. Also note that this doesn't seem to happen as often if you keep hitting every one of the mouse commands consecutively. Advice for the developers: ***Work on the game's story. Consider reviving your webtoons comic and making it longer with more background detail. Lunaya's combos Allies, the guard, and the Epicton Kingdom has great potential for a story that your game can revolve around. This will give you the opportunity to include more characters, levels, and enemies into your game giving it the content it desperately needs. ***Though I touched on it above, it's worth emphasizing again. Your game needs more content. WIth the three waves and mini bosses right now, I would consider this a very good "Zone 1" After beating the Epic Knight, perhaps the knight can escape (again) and the game moves on to "Zone 2" where you would see a new background, another song, other pig enemies with different attack patterns and two more mini bosses before fighting the Epic Pig Knight again. Introduce a new powerup and a new unlockable, then repeat this process for "Zone 3" and so on. ** Consider adding more playable characters with different combat styles. Perhaps one of Lunaya's Allies? *Other upgrades for your character could include Flight speed, or luck chance to increase gold and mini-quests *More unlockable powerups that you can catch (like the mini-quest orbs and power crystal ore) such as: A shield orb that protects your character from 1 hit or a magnetic power up that attracts coins and gems to your character. *Bug Fixes. Keep play testing your game and squashing any bugs that you come across. Closing Statements: For what it's worth, I did enjoy playing the game. Though there's a lack of story and content, I believe this game is like a diamond in the rough. With a bit of work and polishing MeatPossible has some real potential. I'm going to recommend this game and have high hopes that if the player base continues to grow and give feedback, that this will turn into something special.
Feels like it's been made for Mobile in mind, kinda weird playing with Keyboard and Mouse, it takes a while to get used to, even with the tutorial. Anyway, the minigames are fun, and if you like sidescroller SHMUPs, you may like it even with the tweaks to the formula. The cutscenes at the beginning remind me of the North Guard from Game of Thrones, they gave me a Raven feeling Overall, I think there aren't enough animations, like when you take out the fairy shield to break the rocks, I think about 3 frames of the heroine going back and the fairy appearing would be nice, and also the static background looks kinda "blocky", but if you can get pass some of the aspects from the game that can be improved, it is enjoyable, and quite hard at first for those looking for a challenge
Ok this game is very easy to get lost in, I had way too much fun flying around and watching the combo's and the best rank I've gotten so far is a C lol. Definitely a game that you can pick up whenever and come back to whenver you want aswell. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to try to get a higher score! Awesome game! https://youtu.be/2uFodFDQycE
I would highly recommend trying this game out for anybody whose on the fence! It is quite different from other games like it but it is extremely fun and quite addicting. Don't let the tutorial turn you away, the game is a bit challenging at first but it's easy to get the hang of! MeatPosaible also has a fantastic story with phenomenal graphics and sound design! Here are a few bugs I found while playing that I think you could fix to make your game even better: 1. When pressing A and sending out the other princess, the player sprite is pushed back and the new princess is put in your current place. I feel this is a bit unnecessary and could be fixed by just putting the rock breaking princess in front of your current position. As of now it feels unfair to be pushed back. 2. When doing the puzzle minigame, I could need read the text at all for there were coins and enemies underneath it. 3. When going into windowed mode, going into any other tab on the main menu (shop or more) and then going back will put you back in fullscreen. The game will not stay windowed after going back to the menu from a match. 4. After disabling the sound one match, it will come back on the next automatically. 5. Every 6 seconds exactly, white borders would appear on the edge of the screen and come in for about 1 second. 6. Downward slash with the 'S' key would not always kill the flying pig enemies. 7. No matter how good I think I did, I always got a C rating. Not sure if that is a bug or just not fully implemented yet.
After playing Meatpossible for the 1st time. I can say it is not my type of game but does have an interesting playstyle. If anything if you are looking for a challenge this is your game. Too bad there is no leaderboard or anything like that to compete with other players. It seems like more of a mobile game overall. It is kinda like flappy bird meets bullet hell. but I wanna say it is more like a old NES or classic game that you used to play as a kid. It has these crazy enemies & summons that fight with u when you take out enemies. If anything I say give it a try.
SHABI 游戏
这破游戏,连quit game的按钮都没有,每次都得任务管理器走一波,这破游戏还好意思卖?游戏质量极差!!!
The story was my favorite moment of what I've just played. The control is hard to master though. There is a learning curve. Maybe could include an ongoing hint for the first stage in my opinion. The tutorial dialogue buttons are not very responsive as well.
What i liked: I loved the art style of the game, the music is amazing it really fits well while playing and If you're the type of player that enjoys loop games then this one is no exception. It is quite easy to learn but hard to master, which is good for players who enjoy challenges. I love the mini puzzles, it makes the game less repetitive (although that is the goal), they are really fun, maybe add more variety of puzzles to improve the experience. The animations are preaty good too, is confusing at first but you can really see the efort put on the animations. What i didn t like: 1.The biggest issue is the lack of content. The game needs more creatures, bosses, new characters, scenarios, music, so the experience is more diverse for the player. 2.Jackpot Mini game takes a lot of time to run, which translates to less real game time. 3.It should be a manual way to use the character's sword... makes the game more fun. 4.As I mentioned before, there are only a few bosses, only 3. For a loop game there should be more bosses to defeat. There are some bugs but most have already been mentioned in another review. However, there is a bug that ruins the difficulty of the game. If the player moves to the top of the screen, no object touches the character. You will only be able to lose against bosses. What I recommend: Adding new creatures, bosses, characters, costumes, small puzzle games and scenarios is a priority, in my opinion; Add new upgrades to the character such as the speed of the character's, more mini tasks, increase shield time; More powers to unlock: Perhaps a crystal wave that bursts with all enemy creatures, invulnerable for 2 seconds can launch projectiles to clear the path (limited of course), a magnetic imen type that attracts coins and gems; Improving the UI, making it more dynamic, at the moment is functional but can be improved; Add more animations to rocks, creatures, bosses. They are good, dont get me wrong but are little. Increase the shop items; Conclusion: I had a lot of fun playing Meat Possible Chapter 1.5! Honestly, I think it's worth the money and if the little negatives are adjusted, the game will be much better. I recommend give it a try!
