About
You and your friends are test subjects sent by the Dastardly Intelligence Hub into the depths of Subject "The Maze", the creation of the horrifying creature Maze Creep... an extremely intelligent predator who can hear, track your movement, and even check hiding places.
Maze Creep!! is a stealth-focused satire of the horror genre, unafraid to exaggerate horror tropes to their most ridiculous extremes. Descend through an infinite series of procedurally generated mazes, scavenging resources while trying to find the central exit. Meanwhile, you are being hunted by Maze Creep, as well as 40+ additional monsters that get worse the deeper you push.
Maze Creep is very hard on it's intended difficulty, but offers lower difficulties and the ability to customize the experience to be even easier for a more casual experience. The lobby host is responsible for the level of difficulty, as the most brutal settings and the most relaxed are night and day.
Search each procedurally generated maze for doubloons to use in the shop, equipment to aid in navigation and escape deadly situations, and to find the exit to progress deeper. As you descend, stranger environments and more dangerous hazards will begin to appear. Tight spaces, aged locations, baffling things that seem like a joke, even casinos await.
Evade (sometimes) intelligent enemies which do not cheat to find you (unless they do), which can be tricked but not fought (unless they can). The game has a focus on stealth over confrontation against most enemies that create joint threats with one another that must be solved using your items, wits, and the environment. Most enemies are entirely organic, wandering the maze with zero knowledge of where players are, forced to find you through sight and sound.
Maze Creep can hear you sprint, jump, even speak, from any distance. Many other enemies can utilize hearing as well. Utilize stealth and speak softly to evade detection. If you can't, enjoy an infinite stamina pool, you'll need it.

There should really be a middling option for reviews. So far from what I've experienced, which isn't too much, so this might change later on. Maze Creep, is pretty decentish, but there are kinks needed to be ironed out. I feel as if enemies should telegraph a little more rather then being reliant on purely finding notes/outside of the game. It's hard to understand whats happening, yes in a chaotic way, but almost all the time. The second you need to run, its pretty much guarenteed you'll be seperated from your group for the rest of that layer, which wouldn't be as big of a deal if making noise didn't attract the main hostile, meaning that trying to regroup only leads to another chase and seperation. The hatch (as far as I'm aware) when opened will essentially kill anyone who's not inside the room, meaning that once you're seperated anyone who finds it will be waiting either until they can't, die, or give up on you. (Because again, going out looking means you'll just cause another chase.) The amount of monsters is very cool, however due to this it needs to be made aware pretty quickly what each one does. Lest you die simply because you encountered a 5th enemy on the same floor. It also needs to be more apparent on which monsters you can properly fight back against. Either easier difficulties or more custom option, should be added in order to aid players who don't want to suffer in order to learn. When death occurs, you can be revived without penalty if your ally finds your body and 'extracts?' your soul, once again though due to how easy it is to get lost, and the vastness of the map, with little to no cues/guidance, you'll just end up wandering around aimlessly hoping to find their corpse. The tutorial needs to go over more stuff, not everything of course, but generally just what can be done in basics. "You can fight back against certain monsters (some requiring specific items)" something like that then showing you a small list of items, then also going over tips, possibly like "some entities are friendly then others.". Overall a more expanded tutorial to go over more of what occurs in the game would help. Although I've pointed out a lot of gripes, I do enjoy the game, the amount of characters and enviorments is fun, preventing the game from getting familiar quickly. The mix of humour while still being scary is nice. In the end, the game is fun, but needs a little bit of changes. (also the price tag is incredibly nice, and makes it easy to not feel upset over the flaws, as it wasn't nearly as expensive as many other games.)
