Not recommended! This product is NOT free. It uses a subscription based service OUTSIDE of Steam that you have to sign up for through another Web site and requires your credit card info. Without it you wont be able to export your work. The subscription fees are $32.95 per month for the Freelance License and $49.95 for the Teams License. Although they have a temporary launch discount ATM. Strange they would use such a high priced subscription based service when there are similar programs that can be found on Steam for a one-time purchase. They should have just been upfront about the costs and offered its subscription based system through the Steam store to give Steam customers a peace of mind with the safety of their credit cards.

For me, this was very rough beta software. The UX was a clunky - I spent my time trying to get the tool pallete back onto the hand controller (click the eject icon on the hand controller - tooltips would be helpful), then it crashed during clay erase and I wrote this review. Pricing is $45/mo or $75/mo for a "subscription". I didn't feel like QAing it for free.

Also, there is a subscription model available. However, you can still do plenty with the free portion. It really is easy to use. I am only a hobbyist who has only dabbled with VR creative software. Obviously, Oculus Medium and Oculus Quill are both free. However, on Steam we are limited in the free software where you can create 3D models & animation in VR. I know there's Microsoft Maquette, but that's just prototyping. There's also flyingshapes - Next Generation VR CAD, but it seems more limited than this software. I have difficulty coming up with any other free VR 3D modeling & animation software that has as many features as this one and that's as easy to use. Anyways, I recommend it. It's free-ish. I can't comment on the subscription model as I'm only a hobbyist and would have no interest in that. I say try it out. You can't export currently though. So beware of that. [b]Rate ???/10. usage is broken with the valve index and controller. it feel like an early alpha from some school kids, not a professional tool.

i baught masterpiece vr a long time ago and now with studio you need to pay again every month ...that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i supported this from the start but the devs are greedy by the looks of it ill just stick to other software for my vr sculpting kodon is a pretty good alternative for anyone interested
