**Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered**
I bought this game because I wanted to experience what it’s like to be Spider-Man.
After 30+ hours, I can confidently say I have learned absolutely nothing about responsibility, but I *have* learned how to launch myself into a skyscraper at 90 mph.
**10/10.**
The web-swinging is probably the best part of the game. You can spend hours swinging around New York doing absolutely nothing productive. See a crime? Ignore it. See a collectible? Ignore it. Main mission waiting for you? Definitely ignore it.
There is a perfectly good objective marker on your map, and I will instead be swinging around Manhattan like a caffeinated spider with ADHD.
The combat is also fantastic. Spider-Man can punch, kick, dodge, web people to walls, throw objects, use gadgets, and generally make 15 heavily armed criminals question their career choices.
Some poor guy will pull out a rocket launcher and Spider-Man's response is basically:
*"That's crazy bro."*
**[throws a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ manhole cover at him]**
The story is actually really good too, which was unfortunate because I was trying to turn my brain off and commit crimes against physics.
The characters are great, the emotional moments actually hit, and the villains are pretty solid. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here thinking:
*"Peter, please stop talking about saving the city. There is a backpack 200 meters away and I NEED IT."*
The open world is fun, although eventually the side activities start feeling like the developers looked at New York and said:
*"What if we put 47 different things on this map for Spider-Man to collect?"*
And naturally, I collected them.
All of them.
Because apparently Spider-Man's greatest superpower isn't super strength or spider-sense.
It's **severe OCD.**
The Remastered graphics also look great. New York looks beautiful, the animations are fantastic, and swinging through the city at high speed is genuinely impressive.
And then you remember you're playing as Spider-Man and immediately jump off a building because you forgot how gravity works.
Overall, this is one of those games where I finished playing and immediately wanted to start swinging around New York again.
If you're a Spider-Man fan, buy it.
If you're not a Spider-Man fan, buy it anyway.
If you don't like Spider-Man, I don't know what to tell you. Seek professional assistance.

Lost 1 point because I can't legally swing from power lines in real life.
