Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

80's classics + funny dialogues and a regular but entertaining gameplay make this game great. I wish it was optimized better since it has a couple of bottlenecks no matter the graphic settings tho.

I enjoyed my time on this game. After about 15 hours I started getting burnt out and put it down. If you find it on sale for 5$ I'd def get it.

I bought this game with high hopes after reading the reviews and reading the artbook. I haven't finished it yet, but I can confirm that my expectations were exceeded by far. The art direction is truly remarkable, both for the environments, the Milano, and the character designs. The face animations are the best I've seen, the fake-real album by "Star-Lord" is amazing (been playing it on repeat for days). Gameplay is great, just ran into a few bugs which can be overcome by a simple checkpoint reload or poping-up the Steam keyboard (I play on Legion Go S Z1 Extreme). The true highlight is the writing. The Guardians never stop talking, and it's for the best. The dialogues go from hilarious to emotional and never feel forced. I read that cutscenes were pretty long, but it was honestly a pleasure to sit back and enjoy them, along with the QTE. Shame that this game suffered from the Avengers live-service backlash, but I really hope that it gets a second chance when it comes out on Switch 2, so that the team gets reassembled and deliver us a sequel. In a nutshell, my new favourite game :)
