Mariana is a slow-paced underwater exploration game. It looks absolutely beatiful and the simple soundtrack fits the overall atmosphere very well. While you are exploring your suroundings you can find all sorts of random items. Sometimes I wish the inventory would provide some more slots, because it is quite limited... However, you can trade them in a shop for other items and upgrades which is a nice idea. There is a certain humor in the dialoges and the item descriptions which clicked with me right away. That's a really nice touch. You'll be looting treasure chests and fight off more or less scary sea monsters. It's surprising that the game is free. You can definitely see the passion that went into this game.
A buggy mess, and gameplay so basic and wonk that you're better off choosing a random free game on itch io (there's thousands of them).
This reminds me a bit of the kind of game I'd make in high school, albeit this one is cleaner than what I managed to make. It's not finished or perfect, but it has heart, and it's still fun and mostly functional. Since the game is free (which I suspect will be the case unless it gets expanded a long time from now), it's hard to argue with value for content. There's some frustrating features with regards to the death system, as items can end up being lost in impossible or nearly impossible locations, but nothing you're likely to lose that way is so hard to recover in one way or another to be a serious problem. I think that there's a little bit of an issue with how you're intended to deal with
the Yerino
, but finding the key information is doable if slightly unintuitive. I suspect a subset of players may have more trouble with it depending on how they approach games, but that's speculation on my part. All in all, I feel positively after playing what was here, it feels like part of what could be a pretty decent larger whole someday if the dev wants to finish or expand it.

YOU! YES YOU! CREATOR OF THIS GAME! THIS RULES :DDD Seriously though this is such a lovely and fun and spooky game and i really did enjoy it. Metroidvanias seem like such challenging games to make and you nailed it! and a metroidvania with resource gathering nonetheless, something i didnt think was possible but it fits together perfectly and just GAHH im so pleasantly surprised. I don't know if this is the first game you've ever made but either way you have crazy potential and i wish you luck on future projects if any are in the works!! :D
A fun little exploration-based game. It took me a couple of hours to complete, and I was hooked for most of it- you can definitely tell there's a bigger story here than what we're directly told. If you like metroidvania-style games and environmental storytelling, this is a good little outing for you.
