About
In this cozy single player game, you explore wondrous landscapes to find a legendary lost treasure. In your search for clues, you travel from island to island and set up camp with your crew of adventurers. They task you with finding different places in the surrounding landscape. Explore the island, find the locations you are looking for and pinpoint them on your map. Complete quests for your companions and follow the trace of the hidden treasure.

Use real cartography logic to mark landmarks, ruins, and secrets as accurately as possible onto your map. You choose how to approach each challenge, using observation and creativity to find your own solutions.

Use and unlock proper navigation tools to measure your steps, navigate by compass, and scan the horizon with telescopes and sextants to triangulate your way across each island. Each new tool you discover opens up many new ways to map each island.

Each island is filled with ancient ruins, wildlife, hidden paths, and cozy little details that reward curiosity and careful observation.

Orient yourself naturally by reading the landscape and enjoying the gentle thrill of understanding a place on your own.

Map Map is a great, interesting game with easy to follow mechanics and a simple, yet intriguing storyline, as well as many fun challenges. The game has a smooth progression curve and rewards curiosity. I found it to be well worth the price and recommend it to anyone who has even the slightest interest in the graphical and/or mathematical and likes achallenge. A big thank you to the developers! PS: The respawn option is a great inclusion :-)

Very fun game with interesting puzzles. A little rough around the edges, but not in a way that meaningfully impacts the enjoyment of the game. I would absolutely pay for DLC or sequel to this that expands on these ideas and allows you to have a few more levels with all of the tools at your disposal. My only (small) complaint is just finding the hints for the side objectives in the levels can be harder than actually solving the hints.
I love calipers.
Felt a tad too long, and I wasn't motivated enough to hunt for the optional treasures, but I still had a blast mapping out these islands! The main mechanics here are very solid, and the additional tools it gives you every few islands felt like a good way of upgrading my arsenal without making things too easy.
Un juego muy cozy y entretenido
I played the Demo back then and now also the full release. As I have never heard of a cartography game before I was quite intrigued of how the dev team will realize their idea. Tbh I think the pacing is alright. Yes you don't have too many tools at the beginning but the first few islands are quickly done. Once you get your third tool the islands become more complex too so you spend more time in puzzling. I also think the tools you get over time are pretty easy to understand. I'm in around 2 hours and I haven't been to the swamp area yet so I'm looking forward to that new biome. What actually caught me the most was the cute atmosphere and the music the game brings you. The soundtrack is so uplifting and relaxing, the islands with the little critters flying and running around are super cute. I especially love the bees. I tend to just stand somewhere and absorb what's happening around me. So really cute little cozy puzzle game! Awesome to play on Steamdeck too. Happy to see this is the first release of this new indie studio as it is promising :)
A very original and fun puzzle game about making your own map and finding your through multiple islands. The game slowly gives you more tools and spices up the challenges.
if you like exploring in games, and you enjoy geometry, this is the game for you! Bonus points if you like light puzzle solving. It's a great game to chill and wander around; getting to know the space, looking for clues. There is no pressure, and eventually you get a handle on the geography and you can solve the goals for that island. I went out of my way to fully complete each island before moving on, but the new tools that you unlock as you progress make life a lot easier so it would make sense if you play as less of a perfectionist on your first playthrough, then you can go back and improve your score and find the secrets on each island.
Süß & knifflig!
