In the realm of mortals, it is Gojun who reigns after killing the former god of war, Maneki. Now Maneki's soul is trapped in the Underworld--a rich labyrinth from which no soul can escape. But the former god of war's soul is unlike any other, and his vengeance has had a millennium to burn.

Maneki's Curse is another free RPG maker game, I had mixed feelings about it but I think its decent enough to have people try.
A pretty neat RPG game where you get to play as the former God of War who would be great to voice as a badass Japanese samurai. You have to get out of the labyrinth through countless doors. Give it a try, it's rather short for 30 minutes, give or take.
I still dont understand the logic If we have a lot of people in Jail why we have to use only loyal savant soul
For a free RPG game, it's not that bad. I've seen worse. The game is short, like half an hour give or take. I only played the part of acting nice, I don't know if the part of acting like a jerk is any different or have a different ending or not. Not really in the mood for finding out right now, may be later. It has some required combats, and some optional, most are not very hard, as it doesn't gear into it. I barely had any weapons other than Moon Axe (forgot where it was, probably from chest), the Charm that I stripped from the companion and gave to main char. And the Tyrant Axe that I got from killing an optional boss when checking a neon stone. Still pass. But probably not enough if I had chosen the jerk path, as it might mean boss fight. The wandering souls can be used to heal main char and save. I give the potion to the companion. As equipments need souls to purchase, which can only be get by collecting from locations instead of farming monsters, it's not easy to gear up. And characters don't seem to level up with fighting either. The game relies more heavily on the challenging maze, which requires player to wander about AND memorize which door or combination of doors lead to where. Some doors will require you to go back right after you pass it in order to proceed. So a lot of back and forth, and if you can't memorize them all, need to write/draw it down. The map is a little extensive, but separated in 3 different areas, so not that bad. One logic that I disagree with is that there're practically a lot of people in the starting area, but the "war god" don't take any of them, but chooses to slain the loyal servant instead. Seriously? Anyway, it's a good game to test your memory and patience. If you don't like these types, or expect a traditional RPG, skip it.
This is a good and frustrating way to procrastinate for an hour. There are some decent challenges and the level design is well thought out. The world is small enough to keep all the nuance in your head at once and keep making progress without being forced to write it down or deal with randomization. I could see this developing into an interesting game.
Nice short romp though with a lot of irritaing mazes. Tried the different final fights and alliance with Michiko. Wonder what happens next in the mortal realm. Part 2..?
