I've played my share of Mario clones both good and bad. Something is super addicting about this game. Honestly I'm guessing it's free cause the original is(which I've next played)but this should at least be like 5$ or something.

el mandew mas mandew de la mandedad
Fun and pretty challenging game, interesting level design, huge Super Mario and Megaman vibes. Bless the creators for placing a maple syrup just before the final boss battle .
For anyone who thought Mandew Vs. The Colourless Curse controlled a little stiffly, Forever Rain+ is more responsive, zippier, and more polished in pretty much every way. It may be short, and not super original, but it's a solid, challenging platformer with some great levels (particularly in the latter half of the game) for zero dollars. How can one complain?
"Mandew vs the Forever Rain+" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This is a pretty basic console-esque platformer where you control a guy trying to work out why it's raining all the time. Apparently a rehash of a much older version of the same platformer, which was never successful back then and this one is even less successful. In the modern era of high quality bleeding edge PC gaming, these kinds of flat, lazy, lackluster platformers just don't cut it. Platforming is a dead genre for a reason. Even though this is "free", it failed to attract any interest for gamers here on Steam Direct for obvious reasons. This game fails on the visuals because of the use of incredibly lazy, ugly pixelcrap. The developer would probably argue this is a "deliberate artistic choice" but we all know it's because the developer was incapable of producing anything better. The game looks very poor compared to professionally developed games. Whether the developer lacked the skill or the budget for modern visuals is irrelevant; the choice detracts from the game. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's a disservice to gamers when developers don't bother doing their jobs and creating contemporary, high quality visuals. Games like Undertale and Stardew Valley are rare exceptions that succeeded in spite of their awful graphics. Pixelcrap is never really okay, and there's no excuse for games that look this bad. Next is pricing and what value this has for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. A peak of 6 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. Given that this free game won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? This is a "nope". While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher quality alternatives on Steam.
I came across this game after playing Colorless Curse, and I can honestly say that I like this one better, though it might be a bit unfair to compare them directly, since Colorless Curse was designed with a Game Boy aesthetic in mind. This game’s controls are more responsive, the power-ups work better, and the sprite animations are smoother. One thing I would critique is that the last few levels can be pretty unforgiving. However, with enough determination, I was able to push through and finish the game. The final boss is epic, though! Give it a try. It's free and fun.
