About

Malón is an indie tower defense game with a top-down view that combines elements of strategy and skill: victory depends as much on your strategic insight as on your dexterity in controlling your character.
In Malón, you’ll manage a frontier army outpost, taking on the responsibility of defending it at all costs. To succeed, you’ll need to grow your economy, expand your base, and train soldiers to fight by your side in defense of the flag.

Day and Night Cycles:
During the day — when strategy takes center stage — you’ll have to think carefully about how to invest your coins, because once night falls, there’s no turning back.
During the dark hours, you'll have to fight with whatever you've got. The worse your decisions were during the day, the more you’ll need to make up for them with your skill at night.

Upgrade Units and Structures:
Expanding the fort with new structures and units isn’t enough, you’ll also have to upgrade them before it’s too late.

Give your gauchos boleadoras, replace your soldiers’ old muskets with breech-loading rifles, load your cannons with grapeshot… These are just some of the things awaiting you in Malón.

Malon's Campaign:

Each of these has its own characteristics that make it unique. Discover what lies hidden in Pampa, Patagonia, and Andes to earn three stars on every level!

Endless Survival Mode:

Compare your skills with other players! Survival mode features a global ranking, where you’ll be able to fight for a spot in the top 10 players who have managed to withstand the most nights with their fort.

Great idea. Severely under-represented theme. You have no idea how badly I wanted to enjoy this game. Sadly it is severely marred by developer-bias. Ever play a game that is an open sandbox, that let's you play however you wish... but not really. Truth is, instead of enjoying the game, the theme, the many options, you instead have to play detective - what does the developer want me to do? It's frustrating when the dev forgets it is their job to create an experience for the gamer to game. Not where the gamer has to figure out how the developer wants him to game. Sometimes this is acceptable, some games that is the point, linear, puzzle games - but open sandboxes? There needs to be some room for the player to choose. No. I approached the developers, and they informed me, I was wrong, and the game was "perfectly" balanced. It is so "balanced" the player can't deviate from the developer's tightrope. We have too many devs making games for themselves first AND foremost, and then telling us we the players are wrong (yes, I'm talking to you Ubisoft, making a pirate game without swords and blaming the players for not loving it). Shame. My recommendation, hard pass, even on sale, unless the devs take to heart these concerns.
SUCIOS, INMUNDOS, CHORROS, LADRONES, DEJADORES, INVASORES. ¡¡VIVA ROCA!!
JUEGO ARGENTINO LOCOO
