Magurele Mystery is the pinnacle of survival horror games. You hunt for the beast known as Virgil in a dark corner of the world—Romania. The game sets the tone immediately: you wake up in fear as the radio announces that all citizens should evacuate or barricade themselves due to an unknown force killing people. Naturally, instead of running, you decide to hunt for the beast. The puzzles are where this game truly shines—challenging yet logical, never feeling random or unfair. Sometimes, what seems like a bad choice turns out to be the right one, and vice versa. There’s a great balance between slow, methodical problem-solving and moments where you need to think fast. For fans of survival horror and well-crafted puzzles, Magurele Mystery is a must-play.

The game is pure gold. You can see that the game was made by a dude with too much time on his hands and too much sense of humor. If you're going in the game expecting thrilling horror, don't. It has a few jump scares here and there, but the game is a comedy and should be treated as such.
