For an asked price, Magnia is much more than just a decent puzzle game, based on some peculiar physical model and interesting combination of static 2d and operable 3d objects on the screen. It's beautiful, mild and relaxing, and puts you in childhood for some time. The backgrounds for each puzzle level are lovely pieces of art. It's also an instant recommended game for the youngest players, like 3-5 years old. That alone is enough to give this game a positive mark. However, there are way too many weak and questionable things, to actually recommend it for the broad audience. Some of those weak things are more or less easy to fix, like numerous typos in the English version. But there are also some other things about this game, which actually puts me in that gray in-between limbo. I really like this game for how it looks, how it sounds, and the gameplay itself. For an hour or two, it's a nice distraction. But, as you move to the more complex puzzles, the two itches are actually starting to burden you more and more. The first one is about controls in the game, and the items positioning process. The author of the game used perspective when creating his levels so that you should not only twist the parts at different angles but also place them closer or further from the focal point. And while the controls are more or less useful with the twisting of parts in fixed coordinates, the need to constantly correlate those parts with the focal point, zoom in or out, soon begins to frustrate. Which only gets worse when you try to play the 'hard' difficulty, aiming to collect the achievements. And that leads us to the main failure that I see in this game, its basic conception. You see, the game expects you to play with toys from the early childhood era, like cubes, pyramids, and such things. And then it adds some strict timers, the idea to accomplish that pyramid in the given time. With the awkward controls. And that's really not cool. I mean, Magnia is ok as a puzzle game to chill. For a person of any age, young and old. But as for 'challenge', for playing this game for achievements... It's a no-go. Even my 8-years-old daughter felt some serious contradiction between building pyramids and her current playing interests. And I can hardly imagine many grown-up gamers proudly disclaiming that they 'build that ring pyramid for less than the world record time!' I can clearly see by the composition of details on the levels, that the developer is a person of approximately my age group. He uses many symbolic kids toys from our childhood, like transformers, tamagotchi, and such stuff. Playing with that stuff again, even if just virtually, surely touches some nostalgia strings. But as for the game with timed challenges... It feels even repulsive, at some point. The mark is 6/10.
Magnia is not only a puzzle game. There are levels where you need to build towers until a certain hight. Or balance a scale with some objects. There are many levels to do. The objects and surroundings are well made. This is a beautiful and well made game. If you like puzzling and have patience, this game is something for you. There are levels with every difficulty, so it is also a bit challenging. Some gameplay: https://youtu.be/pshg96SLUe4
It's an awesome toybox, there are many levels and toys to play
3d objects smashed to bits, just so you can put them back together. Tower building and balancing also feature, the puzzles can be made easier for children or harder if that's your thing... Magnets... https://youtu.be/f6tC65xLtp8
I finished the game, I liked it at the very beginning but hated it towards the end. It's has an unreasonable amount of game-breaking bugs that would have been apparent with just a little bit of testing. Here's a list of bugs I found while playing for quite a short time: - The pieces randomly lose their hitboxes, making the level unplayable. For some reason I have noticed that just restarting the level doesn't work most of the time and to fix this bug the only way to do it is going back to the level selection screen. - The optional stars you can find on each level sometimes have no hitbox as well, so clicking them is useless and restarting is the only way to try to get them all. - Sometimes, not every star shows up, in one particular space level I restarted over a dozen times and only two stars would appear. - The level select screen can wrongfully show that all stars have been found even when that's not true (going back to the main menu and back to level select fixes it). - Each set changes the background of the level selection screen, that's really nice BUT the previous to last set of levels has a rather funny problem it adds a giant rectangular element to the foreground that covers part of the level selection screen. To play the last set of levels I had to select one of the previous categories so the background would change. - This isn't game-breaking but it's horrible: every level shows the world's best time as 32 seconds and the leaderboards are broken, obviously. - A level's difficulty is weirdly random, sometimes the object is split into just 4 pieces but restarting it makes it split into a lot more. The pieces are supposed to fly around at the star but sometimes they move so slightly that you hardly have to anything. To add insult to injury, sometimes some of the pieces just glue themselves together even before you star moving them. - Sometimes the pieces have back face culling, in layman's terms: the side where the piece was "cut" is see-through - For balance and weight related levels, sometimes the objective has been completed but the game doesn't register it properly, luckily moving the pieces slightly fixes the problem. - The lighting is quite weird in some levels. It's a real shame because I like the idea of the game but the execution is terrible.

Fix the car level. Add depth controls this is beyond frustrating. Other than that perfect relaxing physics game.
