⊕It's Magical Drop on PC. People have wanted this for a while. ⊖On occasion, this game will request that I purchase the full version. I've only ever had the full version on my computer, never the demo. Why am I getting the demo’s notifications? Multiplayer has trouble working, game is full of spelling errors and crashes. Voices are unbelievably grating. Achievements are broken. The developer is a slimeball. Huge jumps in difficulty. The developer said they'd fix these issues, but has refused to comment on it since. They "apologized" to users who spent money on it by dropping the price to 1 USD. How does that make it any better for the people that already bought the game?? ✎The dev has moved to a new developer name and is now taking yet another beloved franchise and giving the illusion of restoration most likely just to scam more people out of their money through their nostalgia. Tactics like this are despicable, this dev has so little interest in their products that their steam adverts are recycled from phone app pages with no editing. This behavior should not meet Steam's quality standards.

[th]
SCORE: 1/10
[/th] [th]
▓▓░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
[/th]

Don't buy this. It's broken. It will never be fixed. It worked fine for approximately eight minutes before crashing. After that, I ended up with a host of issues. The game now keeps insisting that I have the demo version. It never remembers my display settings. The menus keep appearing as unreadable glyphs. Don't waste your time with this piece of trash. The developers should be ashamed of themselves.
So FRUUUSTRATING! Mainly because it has so much potential, however many key things about the game is broken or lacking. I've had several crashes, no native joystick/gamepad support, alt-tab during a game over causes issues on comming back. The AI on normal is absurdly easy then becomes absurdly difficult (may be on my part, however good old google fails to bring up much on strategies or information on the game other than old hype and reviews), buttons fail to respond when many things are going on concurrently. Aside from all the complaning its' the basis of a really GREAT game, and that's really just a shame. The music, and voice acting are confusingly lightyears more polished than the rest of the gameplay & art. I wish I could give this game a Yes/No recommendation, No to the game, yes to the ideas and concepts it has.
I'll be honest, this game is actually fun just like the good old Magical Drop games for the arcade (at least if you're lucky enough to avoid the so reported crashes like me). Unfortunately I just can't recommend this game because its developers proved themselves to be extremely incompetent. They promised a big patch and never released it nor even mentioned about it ever again since 2013. The game, albeit functional, is clearly unfinished. I don't think they deserve your dollar if they'll keep lacking some proper devs and a proper PR department. They abandoned this game, plain and simple. Golgoth Studio should be ashamed and learn a lesson.
it's a good game shame this version is so bad: -does not save settings -insists it's the demo when it clearly isn't -no solo play mode, only vs cpu or players -what the heck is ghostlop? -extremely, legendarily bad translation that tries to cover it up by making fun of itself and failing -very crashy -doesn't save unlocks -achievements don't trigger correctly either -characters constantly display their 'hurting' poses and their 'hurting' voiceclips such that you either turn off the voices or go crazy -multiplayer doesn't work online -multiplayer doesn't work offline
Although it is like your classic bubble shooter game, you will not grow bored of this game. It may seem easy at first but you will soon learn you have a challenge. A challenge that has you addicted to playing for hours till you beat that person. The characters are adorable and the dialogue is hilarious.
Example of a good puzzle game with quick decision making. It sometimes freezes though when left for too long when paused.
Avoid this, even at the "just a dollar" pricepoint. * First, for a lot of people the game crashes on startup. You have to dig through the config file with a text editor to fix it. * Second, the game is buggy and will crash often. This is not something you can fix. The devs claimed to be working on it, before vanishing for several years and then claiming to have lost the license. * Third, half the time this full game becomes convinced it is only a demo and tries to convince you to buy non-existant DLC that would unlock a 'full version'. Again, this was promised a fix that will never come. If you're that interested in Magical Drop, go back to the older games. They actually work as intended, and have more features than this game does.
This game is basically unfinished. So many bugs! I love other games in the series and this one is trash.
Compared to Magical Drop 2 & 3, this just doesn't compete. Yes, the animations and graphics are updated, and there are some new co-op options that give it some life, but most of the characters from 3 are gone, the puzzle and journey options are gone, and the game is broken on Windows 10 (in order to get this to work in Windows 10, you need to go into local game files, right-click on the app, Properties --> Compatibility --> Change High DPI Settings --> Override high DPI scaling, and let the "Application" perform it). I also miss the sounds and voices from the Euro version of Magical Drop. The Japanese voices are good but don't have the same nostalgia in the west that the EU voices had.
