not having fun
Magic is a fun game, and this client is exceptional and much better than MTGO. I have had very few problems with the client itself. However, I am not a fan of the massive amount of Universes Beyond sets that have been introduced recently. Also, it is very grindy for new players to get competitive decks without spending quite a bit of money, and I think that the wildcard system should be reworked.

It’s great. It’s Magic. It gets you really involved.
Still the most customization you can have in a game in terms of different strategies to try. Even if not all of them might be competitive. Also pretty okay for a f2p, especially if you are good at limited. Wish there was something better but I don't think there is. Grass is greener and all that.
Magic is a great and complex games, the app is flawless and fun, wish the packs would give you more cards and people should lose games, and not just quit it because is hard.
I mean its magic so idk what to say...it's like magic but if you didn't have to read your cards to remember when you can do something ig lol
for a free game that you can burn a few hours to it, with no forcing to buy and you can learn how to play mtg for free

At the beginning, I was super enthusiastic about MTG Arena. It is the game of my childhood that I used to play with my friends, now for free. However, after playing it for more than a year, I would give it a negative review. There are a few points, some more and some less serious. The first thing that made me feel weird is the change in the artwork of MTG. This is probably the least important point, as it is just subjective. I like the LOTR MTG set, but I hate all the new weird Unviverses Beyond and crossover collections, even if they are substituted with MTG cards in the game for copyright reasons. The most important reason why I do not like the game is that it has a lot of in-app purchases. It feels like a speedrun to nowhere. You constantly obtain cards, play, win some games, and sometimes fail to win. There is nothing more. Many players just stop playing, and then you wait forever, losing your time. It looks like this has been a problem for a long time, but nobody seems to be looking for a solution. Finally, I do not like that the game is so over-animated. At least there should be some options to disable all the animations and flashy stuff, so you can play the game in a minimal way, perhaps in a small window on your second screen. There are people who are not interested in stupid animations and just want to play a strategy game. I do not recommend it.
cant even play real formats lol
