Since the shift has focused away from Standard to Commander, the Historic format in Arena is plagued with imbalance that was not there two years prior. Sadly, Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is better and that game is garbage.
Is it fun? Sure, free MTG, but by God, playing limited is incredibly rigged. You see better chances by buying lottery tickets. For some reason, only during limited drafts and such, the game just either puts all lands on the top of your deck after keeping your hand or no lands at all. No in between. My guess is that 80% of all limited games I've played in Arena either you OR your opponent just mana screws. Thats is no fun for everyone involved. (I've been playing MTG for 10 years or so, Arena since the beginning on and off.) Only in MTG Arena it seems incredibly rigged.
The worst implementation of Magic on the market. The shuffler and matchmaking are geared towards monetization, turning the game into a frustrating trap unless you regularly spend money in the shop. Only private matches make any sense anymore!
.
Should be fun, its MTG, but the CONSTANT errors where I get kicked off a match in ranked right as I'm about to win and not being allowed to reconnect, the aspect ratio bug STILL ongoing for YEARS punishing anyone with a widescreen monitor and the inability to play with every card that paper can in their intended format really break the game. DO NOT SPEND ANY $. Its ok if you can get over all that and be FTP.
