Magic Borderless

Don't get me wrong, it can on occasion be useful, but 90+% of the time, it just runs in the background, periodically hogs CPU, and then when you open a new app, it pops up and you end up having to go into task manager to kill the process. We're going on like 2+ years here, where I can only recall once or twice where it actually 1) did something useful, and 2) Actually did that useful thing without blocking my screen and requiring me to kill the process to continue going about my business. You've had years to fix it. Look at my hours. That' how long you've had to fix this S*. 15thousand hours running background being useless and then being a pain in the A* over the years when it decides to awaken from its slumber. 100% CPU consumption doing nothing? Lol I'd get a refund but I'm 15390 hours overdue.

The usage time will be skewed as with any software that runs in the background. Thing is a pain to remove has horrible default settings when it comes to being invasive and annoying doesn't work half the time unless you go tweak the settings hard and then it "may" work or may work with "issues." The UI and the customization is nice, but if you don't feel like dealing with that headache for every game and having steam refuse to uninstall it and have it restart itself when you tell steam to close it - just do yourself a favor and get borderless gaming instead. Infinitely more user friendly for similar (albeit admittedly less) functionality. And yes ultimately you can get steam to uninstall it but sometimes that can be a headache, and because of its nasty habbit to run in the background, forget its settings and more things you may find yourself removing it any time you're not forced to use it with a game that has it. Some advice for the dev: if i tell steam to close the app, that means I want the app closed. If I try to close the app, it means I want it closed - that does not mean restart it over and over again and force an uninstall and a restart of the machine to clear things running in the background to finally let it close enough for steam to succesfully uninstall.

Я купил программу из расчета на то, что она будет лучше borderless gaming в итоге получил программу, накручивающую часы на моем профиле, не дающую людям конектиться ко мне через френд лист и не рабочую с некоторыми играми крайне расстроило так же заявление создателей "Мы очень дешевы потому мы вам ничего не должны" и "ваши плохие обзоры понижают наш стимул к работе", а так же отсутствие функций, которые разработчик обещает уже давно.

I like that the interface works well but sadly the issues that I am finding are as follow: Playing Fallout 76 at 720p borderless on a 1080p while running magic borderless stretches it out and makes the game pixelated. I have noticed that it shows that I am play Magic Borderless instead of the game that I am playing. Discord shows that I am playing Fallout 76 at least but steam says I'm playing Magic Borderless. If these issues are resolved, then I can say it's a good program. For now I'm stuck in the middle on whether or not to recommend it for gamers like myself who stream on Twitch. It would seem that I have to give a 👍or 👎 to post this review. For now it's a 👎 until the issues are fixed for me. Update 1: November 13, 2019 is the last update that I see being version 1.0 and it's currently December 11, 2023. It would seem that they have not updated it for 4 years and I do not know if has been improved that much. I am just giving a visual update on their updates that I see so far. After doing some testing with games and programs, I will decide if I want to change this review. Right now, I am testing it with Starfield with a Ryzen 9 5900X and Radeon RX 6600. My game is running at 720p at medium to high graphics for 60 fps on a 27" 1080p Curved gaming monitor. I am hoping this program will make run well but so far I have noticed that upon running the game after configuring with this program, The game will become obscured and crash at times. It's a gamble with Starfield but I will try out other games when the time comes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: July 24th 2024 Well I managed to get it running as suggested by Sysgen in the comments. Instead of 1080p I made it 720p stretched out. The details look way better but I have noticed now that the UI for some elements stays in place as if it thinks it is 720p border-less while the rest of the stuff aligns in the correct locations. Fallout 76 shows up that I am playing it on both Steam and Discord correctly. I am just dealing with the 720p UI elements stuck in place while other UI elements move and stretch accordingly. It is an improvement but it still has an issue.

Quite lame program, some very basic borderless functionality. Can't handle dual or multiple monitor environment. Not recommended.

Really useful tool if you play a lot of older games. There are a few bugs here and there, but for me they havent been a huge nuisance. Simple simpler program that I have found very usual. Worth is for the price for sure for those who like playing on second screen with games that are slightly older.

works as intended and it has a dark mod for free wink wink...if you have any game you want me to try just write it down and i will :).
