About
**Venture into the world of chilling psychological horror, where the line between reality and nightmare is thinner than a spider's web. Grandview is not just a game, it is a test for your nerves and mind.
** 1917. Your name is Samuel Reed, you are a journalist who lives with a relentless pain in his heart. Your sister, Anna, has gone missing within the walls of the Grandview Psychiatric Hospital. And so, through a thick fog of rumors and fears, you receive a letter – a desperate plea for help, written in Anna's trembling hand. You know you have to find her, even if you have to face the darkest secrets of Grandview. ** A journey into the heart of a forgotten nightmare awaits you:
**Grandview is the living embodiment of madness:** An abandoned mansion greets you with chilling silence and an oppressive atmosphere of desolation. But don't be fooled by the outward calm. Grandview is alive. He breathes, whispers, watches. The corridors change their layout, the doors slam in front of you, and the empty eyes of mannequins look out of the darkness silent witnesses of other people's suffering.
**Immerse yourself in a horror story:** Collect notes, diaries, medical records, and photographs scattered around the hospital. Each fragment is a piece of the mosaic, which gradually develops into a terrifying picture of the past. Learn about Dr. Langham experiments, his obsession with immortality, and the suffering of patients whatever become victims of his madness.
**Grandview is testing you:** Solve intricate puzzles related to medicine, anatomy, and psychiatry. Use your wits and intuition to open locked doors, find hidden passages and move deeper into the hospital. But remember – every action you take can have unpredictable consequences.
**Danger lurks at every step: Grandview is not a place for the weak in spirit. Get ready for unexpected encounters with revived nightmares, for chilling screamers that will make you shudder at eve. Use your mind and reactio to survive this nightmare.
**High-quality graphics and sound: Realistic picture and atmospheric sound create the effect of complete immersion, making you believe in the reality of what is happening.

When you went to drink water at night at a friend's house This is an interesting game where we will explore mysterious locations. The plot is quite intriguing, to find out the secrets of the asylum, as our father bequeathed to us. The gameplay is also cool, solving different puzzles, while fearing what is hidden around the corner. And of course, mannequins, creepy, without a face, instilling horror with their appearance. The game will really tickle your nerves, so I recommend everyone to visit this scary place.
Warning: Asset Flip! "Madness on Display" is a fairly basic Unreal asset flipped first person horror adventure, one of many hundreds, if not thousands of these glutting Steam. The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unreal Marketplace assets, arranged them haphazardly in a first person adventure game template, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers
In this case it's just a bunch of Unreal mannequins and some abandoned hospital/asylumn assets, arranged haphazardly into a very basic high school student tier adventure game, wander around while hearing creepy plagiarised sound samples, collect keys and read badly written horror notes strewn around... I've played better student projects, although those are much more sincerely made and there's no asset plagiarism in them. Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In fact there's a credits page for the game but the developer just has his own name there, and the fields next to voice acting etc etc are all just blank... I guess he maybe meant to get around to crediting the actual people who made everything this game is made of, but then got too lazy... and lazy is the hallmark for this train wreck, just like all the other asset flips on Steam. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players, and the worst part is these weren't genuine players, these were the Russian fake review accounts that the developer paid to make the fake reviews. Since the fake reviews are all done, now the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 110,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian, broken English or ChatGPT AI slop, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR Part 465), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.
This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 110,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! "Madness on Display" is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
A very atmospheric and sometimes truly frightening horror game with good graphics, which is especially surprising given the low price tag
Вполне не плохой хоррор, который способен занять на несколько часов. Игра стоит своих денег, по скидке всего 35 рублей.
The worst game i have (tried to) played this month. Video: https://youtu.be/js6pRxUhLac
I wish I could give this a positive review but unfortunately for me it is just a broken game. I have completed the game to the end twice and I cannot get the end prompt to show. The game just ends and takes me to the start menu.
4.9/10 отзыв
This game was painful, its pretty much find one key go to another door open it find next key, I mean i don't know if its me but the mannequins were kind of hilarious and the scares were non existent, after doing the key door thing for like an hour you finally get to the end and its a page of text, there is literally no ending, its wordpad document. Only thing positive i could say is the writing was somewhat good and there was no game destroying bugs so yeah game was pain.
