Luxor: 5th Passage is yet another installment in the Luxor franchise. I can't recommend against it enough. This one is definitely the odd one from the series and it shows through each aspect of the game. The story is yet another, blast through match 3+ balls-on-a-track type levels until you complete a section of the journey to recover an artifact. The game play is technically the same, but plays much worse than any other Luxor titles and other games like Luxor. The targeting seems so slow, inaccurate, and balanced against you. The shooter feels worse than other games as it doesn't move the smoothest and it is horrible at grab treasures and power-ups, basically have to aim for dead center of it. The levels are alright, some nice to look at while others are very frustrating to play, and I believe this one has the most levels at this point in the franchise. There is a story mode, blast mode (get as many points in a short amount of time on Luxor levels of various games), and fan favorite map mode (play old favorite maps from other games). There are in-game achievements and new power-ups, but nothing really new otherwise. The new powers vary in usefulness. Double shot (shoot two balls at once) is great, just would be better if shooting was not broken. Black Hole (places a void that eats balls on the track) is garbage because it lasts so short, and it is worse if the train is close to the end of the track as the train moves slower the closer it is to the end. The piercing dagger power-up (instead of a ball, a dagger is shot) is okay at best, only useful for destroying a few odd balls to make a big chain explosion. The Spike Ball (shoot a ball with spikes that shoot little thorns to destroy balls) has the worst hit detection of anything, so it is rarely useful. Besides that, it plays okay, but this is my least favorite Luxor game. If you get the Luxor bundle, then give the game a try, but I would recommend even Luxor Mahjong over this game.
Nice continuation of Luxor.

Prolly the worst ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luxor game ever in the series, or maybe even worse than Luxor Adventures Theres so many things wrong with this abomination: >inability to use the Eye of Horus feature >sorting power-up nerfed >the anks coin counter doesn't resets upon collecting 30 >no turquoise and orange spheres >reusing the levels from other games with either no improvments or downgraded >Precious Cargo level has no reflectors >Geb the Grower level doesn't have the funny stork >Mask of Amun makes me pretty uncomfortable >Nefertari's Atrium background looks like as if a google image was used >Bastet's Fountain is slow as ♥♥♥♥ >Scarabic Dawn: no need to elaborate >Pleading Insanity achievement didn't unlocked after finishing insane difficulty But cool new power-ups though. Conclusion: DONT BUY IT
