Great game! Different and has its funny moments! Pssst you may rage but only half the fun.
Play a depressed office worker whose new job involves strange and deadly tasks, and a boss he can’t run away from. You take on the role of a deeply unhappy office worker, stuck under the thumb of an obnoxious boss who constantly yells and barks orders in a heavy accent. You fantasize about killing him, and surprisingly, the game gives you that option right from the start. But if you try, he’ll just pull out a gun and shoot you in the face. So, for now, compliance is your only path, though things are about to take a strange turn. The controls are standard for a first-person game: basic movement, running, jumping, crouching. Interactions are handled with the mouse. When your crosshair shifts from a dot to a circle, it means something is interactable. Large or fixed objects like doors can be used with the left mouse button. Smaller objects can be picked up with the right mouse button and thrown with the left. Tapping the left button without grabbing just nudges them slightly. You’ll need to be careful with where you throw things because losing track of important items can block progress. Most items activate automatically when brought near the right target, or you can just throw them at the target instead. The game starts off mundane, but quickly slides into the surreal. After finishing your work for the day, your boss demands that you move some boxes to the basement. You agree reluctantly, but something’s off because the pile of boxes keeps growing with each trip. Then come the brief, unsettling visions. When the power goes out and you try to leave, your boss appears and fires you for not finishing the task. Strangely, a new job offer appears before you make a few steps. You accept. Your new job involves a series of bizarre, often disturbing tests that are far from ordinary. You’ll be locked in pitch-black rooms where unseen people laugh at you, walk through flames, and navigate a maze of shifting rooms. You can die, and probably will, often. Scattered painkillers provide a small health boost, and the game autosaves at checkpoints, though you’ll still need to replay segments after dying. There’s no clear objective beyond enduring the trials and seeing where the experience leads. The whole thing isn’t that hard, and even platforming won’t ruin your day (thankfully with mid-progress saving). While there are creepy visuals and eerie moments, this isn’t a horror game. The tension mainly comes from sudden environmental changes: a regular room might transform in a blink, now soaked in blood with a corpse. There's no complex puzzle-solving, just a few basic switches, and the environments are mostly small, so getting stuck is unlikely. Some stages include light threats: either chase sequences where you can sprint indefinitely, or enemies that only move when you're not looking at them. But none of these will completely derail your progress. Overall, it’s a weird and entertaining experience that lasts a few hours.
I wish I just took the boxes from the meeting room to the basement.. Don't take shortcuts
I don’t think the game is bad – it’s okay, but there’s still quite a bit of work to be done. For example, when you lose your life, the screen becomes blurry (similar to the Horror Engine in Unreal), which makes it impossible to properly complete your missions unless you take the pills to restore your vision. You basically have to die to get another attempt, which can be quite tough during gameplay. Also, some areas feel repetitive – not all of them, but a few. Still, it’s not a bad game at all. I’d say: give it a try for yourself!
