• When the moon hanging over Earth shattered, its fragments rained down and threw the world into turmoil. Humanity was nearly annihilated. From these ruins emerged the Moon Spirit Clan (Leah), who had been hiding on the far side of the moon, and the Vampire Clan (Bellanoa), who had been concealed beneath Earth's surface. Humanity is nearly extinct, though a few survivors have gone deep into hiding.
