Ciao ragazzi! ENG: I love to see novice developers getting better and better! The second episode of Lost Alone, the first videogame saga of Daniele Doesn't Matter, is even better than the first, albeit the latter was already excellent! Better level design, better puzzles, more disturbing story, and even more dreadful jumpscares! Which are always perfectly linked to the plot, that's the most important thing. This game is an improvement compared to its predecessor in all respects, I don't need to say that I can't wait to see how this nightmare will end! Well done Daniele, keep up like that, you're doing great! Cheers guys!
this game jumpscared me so bad i started crying on stream. i'm not even kidding.
One of my favorite horror games, all 3 Lost Alone Games are worth the buy.
molto carino, godibilissimo
Okay so I just reviewed the first game... started the first one on stream last night... and beat it and the second chapter on stream tonight. This one is a little different from the first episode... as in you actually have to try and avoid "The Butcher"... which isn't too hard if you use energy drinks... and you're mind as to the fact that he's rather "large". There were some good jump scares in this one as well (just like the first game)... but... but... there was one major issue with this game that sticks out a little more than in the first game. Regarding copyright issues from the first game... this one just basically said "piss on" copyright law... and instead of just using images for the background and posters in the game... Alberto IS LITERALLY JASON VOORHEES from Friday the 13th Chapter 2. Dude... are you serious right now?? Your games aren't bad... but you're really walking a fine line doing stuff like this. I'm going to be streaming Episode Three tomorrow night... and my chat has already kind of made a game out of how many "copywritten" things we can find in the game while I play. So sad that such a decent series... might catch all kinds of unnecessary hell because you couldn't be bothered to pay tribute to these things with quirky little things made yourself that "reminded" players of the things... and not the actual things themselves.
This episode doesn't beat it's predecessor and lacks that edgy feeling. A few jump scares but a lot of them didn't get me except a really good one that caught me off guard whilst back tracking downstairs. The game also feels shorter and in a smaller environment. The puzzles were much the same kinda thing and nothing too testing. The developers have mixed up a few things here and there though. The game stutters in places (much like the first episode) and oddly enough during the end of the game it's worse.
Despite not enjoying Ep. 2-Paparino as much as Episode 1 (largely due to some of the puzzles), I was looking forward to the reboot. The house is now more streamlined and those particularly aggravating puzzles have been redone. The butcher, who stalked you and took some of your inventory items in the original, has become a real threat to your life and health-more so than the change in Episode 1. This aspect has completely ruined the game for me and I will not be finishing it-or purchasing Episode 3 if this is to be an ongoing theme. Enemy elements are not necessary in creating a fantastic horror game. Very disappointing. Overall, I would recommend. It is a great game otherwise.
