Pretty nice game. It has an amazing soundtrack and very nice gameplay! It is pretty challenging but it let's you increase or decrease the difficulty too.

I played the game on stream a few months before release- and man, it's really evolved since then! The dev clearly cares about the game and will only improve from here

Fun and charming little metroidvania game with cool movement mechanics.

Good game, surprised it has so few reviews. Haven't played much of it but the movement feels good and that platforming is solid which is all that matters to me. Couldn't see a way to make it full screen or even borderless window but I can deal with that, may also just be overlooking it.

For a game that is not free, it is unacceptable to have zero help on a walkthrough. A proper map would've been nice. There is no way to track progress in exploration, so you are forced to make your own map if you want to find all endings, for instance. I got lost and stuck in a third area. Yes, I get lost a lot, but usually, in payed games, i don't get totally stuck with no option to resume progress. Controls are ♥♥♥♥. Completely unpredictable behavior, you'll spend more time figuring them out then actually playing. Zero help on the internet whatsoever. Literally NOONE plays this, you're on your own, if you want to risk it. Srsly, there are some free games made by school students that show more quality than this. Cut scenes are fun, but you have to make your own map to find all of them. I can't be bothered.

Great Platformer with a big open world!

A real hidden gem. Neat platforming and exploration elements. Difficulty is completely adjustable in game, ranging from the Dark Souls of platformers, to Baby's First Jumpgame. Music and graphics are alright, and the story is neat too. Only complaint I have is the lack of a more detailed map. You get a map showing an overview of the areas positions, and it tells you how many hidden coins are in each area, but within the area it can feel easy to get lost. There were a few places where I just wasn't at all sure where I was supposed to go next, so some time was wasted backtracking. But, overall, a great deal for only five bucks.

Lootbox Lyfe is an entertaining platformer based around unlocking new movement mechanics by finding lootboxes. After a brief tutorial stage, you are free to explore the world in whatever order you wish, collecting coins and discovering secrets. The large variety of movement mechanics to play around with is the best part of this game. There are often multiple ways of parkouring across the map, and you are free to experiment with different the different skills you learn. It's satisfying to find a new movement mechanic and figuring out that you can use it to overcome an obstacle you were previously unable to pass. The story is kind of wack. I didn't pay too much attention, but it's something to do with controlling people by making them addicted to lootboxes. Nevertheless, finding writing and cutscenes which explain more about the world adds to the fun of exploration. I've never been a fan of platformers, but this is the first one I've played through completely. It made me appreciate how much you can actually do with 2D movement and gave me a sense of satisfaction from seeing myself improve. I definitely recommend Lootbox Lyfe to anyone who enjoys simple yet diverse gameplay.

2 hours in, I can confidently say that the game is good. It's a platformer inspired by Metroidvania without any combat, which honestly, it doesn't need at all. The game is challenging, but not rage inducing (so far), well-balanced and fluid. The movements are spot on and fun to play with. There's some getting used to with some of the power ups but it clicks quickly. Overall, for the price, I would say it's a must buy if you like platforming.
