About
Plot
A military black project run by a secret space program called Aranea operates under an agreement between the human Earth government and an alien regime who use human beings for their nefarious purposes.
This group is run by a powerful extradimensional spider collective which is connected a broad genetic human family who is needed for a variety of resources. One of provisions that humans give off that is sought after by these quasi-real beings is an emotional energy called "loosh," which this alien consciousness is unable to create for themselves and is needed for their survival.
The Aranea spider collective ritualistically exercises their specific motifs on their human pawns to bind them to the culture of the arachnid using advanced methods of mind-control and Satanism. Our characters learn about these methods and how Earth's society has these elements secretly bled into it in order to extract the loosh from these humans.
The story follows Rhys and Serisai; humans who are both involved in the program implicitly and explicitly. The story follows their lives as they work, embrace romance and learn about the paranormality of their lives.
Gameplay
Loosh Grid tells the story through visual novel interactions and comic book-styled storytelling. There are small multiple choice puzzles and dialogue trees with other characters which offer a look at the ways that Aranea functions as a secret society as well as the general day-to-day lives of the people on Earth.

Reviews
Loosh Grid is a Visual Novel that follows Rhys a young man with strange dreams that at times seem to take over his perception of reality and spill into his seemingly normal life. Rhys' daily life hosts a cast of weird and quirky coworkers that remind me of people I have worked with in the service industry before. The Other protagonist of Loosh Grid is a young "woman" named Serisai, she unlike Rhys is a part of an extraterrestrial society that manipulates and uses humankind as a means to an end. Serisai and Rhys cross paths when she is assigned to be a "Controller" for the human cloning program that uses emotions from individuals as fuel for their interplanetary energy grid that envelopes earth. Rhys' clone happens to be the individual she is assigned to as a new "Controller." With Rhys having misgivings about whether his interactions with this masked society are real or dream leads him down a path that I hope the developer will continue and explore more in depth with the next addition to Loosh Grid. Other than minor grammar mistakes the novel was a nice short read even going back through to read all other routes from choices; some branches leading to new scenes while others only changing dialogue. The artwork is well done and I was also surprised by the background sound design for some scenes. I would say music may be nice in some sections but not necessary. Overall I enjoyed reading through this visual novel and hope the creator will continue to work on and expand the characters and world of Loosh Grid.
