a great game on the looney toons my only regrets is the content we need more stage and characters and if not i enjoyed a lot every character ,has his own move and utimate and his own inro and they are different in the the others sport so we have the impression to be in the anime even if a setting about shadow line around the character woud be great as well but the graphism are great , the sound like the anime and the bonus are fuin to play i recommand this game just for 50 euros we definitely need more stage and characters but the fun is here a great game on the looney toons * as single player we can play with and against bots we choose and we can control every bots we wish in our team just with one button to push
My full review is located here: https://chipznstix.com/2024/10/03/looney-tunes-wacky-world-of-sports-review/ When it comes to being if I recommend it, it seriously comes down to the aspect of how much you are looking to play. The soccer and basketball isn't as fun or polished as it probably should be. The golf and tennis are definitely more polished and somewhat fun to play. The fact there is no online for the game is a determent for it, especially since there is not a huge amount of single player content since it is lacking a story mode. It has bones to be a decent game, but there are many issues and problems. Whether I consider this to be worth $50, my response is absolutely not at this time. This time of the year for game releases is very intensive, I unfortunately would recommend spending the money on another game. I don't think it is a terrible game, its just not a great one. (score is 6/10)
I got this for the Loons not for the CEO
Love Looney tunes. Found out about this game only recently. It’s fun! Edit: buy it on sale
it's amazing idea but it would be better if they add more than 4 sports games only plus online 4 players if they make an updates adding games and online it will sale more copies
Seems like a fun game but for all of you with arcade cabinets looking for the next game on your machine, you will run into issues if you have the standard Mame button layout on your two person arcade stick controller. The developer did not give the option to reset controls for movement. You are stuck with player one and two using WASD and Up, Down, Left, RIght for movement. Usually arcade cabinet controllers use A on the player 2 buttons you can change this with software however if you are using this for an arcade you will either have to manually rework your existing setup witch could take days. I wish devs would think of these small things. how cool would this be on a cabinet. Please on a update give us the ability to change the key mapping for movement WASD & Up, Down, Left, Right.
Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports, developed by Bamtang Games and published by GameMill Entertainment, brings the classic cartoon cast into the realm of zany, over-the-top sports competitions. With its colorful presentation and instantly recognizable roster of characters, the game sets out to capture the chaotic energy of the Looney Tunes universe in a series of lighthearted, arcade-style sporting events. Featuring four main sports—soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf—the title aims to deliver quick, party-style fun with slapstick antics, cartoon physics, and plenty of visual flair. The presentation is one of the game’s most notable strengths. The environments are bright, exaggerated, and packed with references to classic Looney Tunes episodes. Character designs remain faithful to their animated counterparts, with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Taz, Lola Bunny, and others looking lively and expressive. The game is full of whimsical sound effects and iconic voice lines, lending it an authenticity that fans of the franchise will appreciate. Each character feels distinct in terms of personality, if not necessarily in terms of gameplay, and the game world feels like a true extension of the cartoon universe. Unfortunately, the gameplay doesn’t quite reach the same level of polish. While the sports themselves are framed in a fun and imaginative way, the controls often feel stiff, with movement that lacks responsiveness and weight. Passing, shooting, and even basic actions like aiming can feel imprecise or delayed, especially in soccer and basketball. Tennis fares slightly better due to its simpler layout, but even there, inconsistent hit detection and floaty controls undermine the flow of play. Golf ends up being the most functional of the four, largely because its turn-based structure compensates for the control issues that plague the faster-paced modes. The inclusion of power-ups and hazards helps inject some unpredictability into matches, in true Looney Tunes fashion. Exploding basketballs, anvils falling from the sky, and ACME-brand gadgets give each match a dose of cartoon chaos. However, these mechanics can also disrupt gameplay balance, turning some matches into frustrating exercises in luck rather than skill. The AI is often more of a hindrance than a help, with computer-controlled teammates making poor decisions or simply getting in the way. This becomes especially noticeable during solo play, where reliance on AI behavior is unavoidable. Multiplayer offers a better experience, particularly in local co-op. When played with friends, the game leans into its party game appeal, offering short bursts of fun where the randomness and silliness become more of a feature than a flaw. Still, the absence of online multiplayer severely limits the game’s reach, particularly in an era where local-only play is no longer the norm for many players. The lack of online features also means there's limited replayability outside of personal or family gatherings. There are unlockables and cosmetic upgrades to earn—like alternate outfits and new equipment—but these do little to expand the depth of the game. Each sport has a small set of arenas and character animations, and over time, repetition sets in. The novelty of playing as your favorite Looney Tunes character can only carry the game so far before the simplistic mechanics and uneven execution start to wear thin. While the visuals and voice acting go a long way toward establishing an authentic Looney Tunes feel, they can’t fully mask the game’s shortcomings in terms of gameplay and content. The experience, while charming and approachable, lacks the polish and depth necessary to make it stand out among other party or sports titles. The controls need refinement, the AI needs improvement, and the game overall could benefit from more variety in both game modes and character abilities. In the end, Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports feels like a game with its heart in the right place but missing the mechanical finesse needed to support its ambition. It’s a decent option for families or fans of the franchise who want a simple, visually appealing game to enjoy in short bursts. However, for those seeking a deeper or more refined sports party game, this title may fall short of expectations. With some post-launch support or updates, it could become a more polished experience, but in its current form, it leans more on nostalgia than substance. Rating: 7/10
