The base game consists of 3 snowy maps (House, Lake, Village), each of which contains 100 hidden cats to locate & 10 progression-related achievements. A DLC is also available to purchase which unlocks 2 additional maps of a more whimsical, springtime aesthetic (River, Mushrooms); however, the DLC is not required for 100% achievement completion of the game. Each map (in both the base game & DLC) feels appropriately sized and is relatively easy to complete within 5-10 minutes without hints (although they're available with a short cooldown between uses should you need them). Unlike its competitors within the genre, [i]Looking For Cats In a Badly Drawn Forest[/i] is a simpler & more minimalistic experience. Aside from the relaxing background music & cats meowing (when clicked), there are no "bells & whistles" to give the game an edge (such as animations, puzzles, color customizations, Easter eggs, or additional game modes). Instead, the game relies solely on the charm of its environments & its derpy cats. Nevertheless, while not a "must play" experience, it is charming enough to warrant a playthrough if you enjoy hidden object games and/or cats — especially at the low price of "free." 😺
