About
This is the question at the heart of Lock and Key, a magical mystery visual novel set in a world shaped by your interpretation of the magical girl genre.
Sherri and Kealey Cohen, now a married couple in their late 20s, left the title of magical girls behind them over a decade ago. Now on the verge of losing their powers and entering a life of true normalcy, a string of unexplainable murders forces them to come out of retirement for one last adventure. Together with Nina, their old friend, and Ruby, a new protégé, Sherri and Kealey will have to face a mystery connected both to their past and future. In the world of Lock and Key, the player shapes their path... and more importantly, determines where that path will end.
Since this is a visual novel, you the reader are in control! The decisions you make in-game will determine the outcome of the story, and the fates of the characters in it.

Cute VN! I really liked how Sherri and Kealey's relationship was written, and especially Kealey's reasons for becoming a magical girl. I kind of wish there was a
post-climax scene that was not just the ending, it would have been cute to see their lives calm back down, and how they handled everything post-climax.
(did not learn anything from reading the vn voice) i would kill to get more of this world and characters tbh
Highly recommended. Unashamedly gay, the story is riveting and the characters are incredible. I've played through one ending and I'm sure I'll try to find the others.
An exceptional game. There is one bug, however: every time I try to get anything other than the happy ending, a bug called "my heart wouldn't take it" appear, preventing me from progressing. 10/10
Another incredibly high quality visual novel from Studio Élan, Lock & Key has a story that I found to be very engaging with a fun cast of characters. Would recommend.
A story about 2 aging women and their 'basically-adopted-daughter' kicking gelatinous evil butt, I knew going in this was going to be a good one but my word the story, the art, the music, everything is so well realized 10/10, Would #stannina and 100% the game
It was sweet, and warm, and gay. I liked the characters and interactions. The music was really good too. Don't expect a complex story or deep worldbuilding, it's more on the slice of life side, but the slice of life part was meaningful and loving. There were some cool confrontation scenes too. I want to rewatch the original Nanoha series now...
Im loving it. only just started my first playthrough, Nina seems nice hope nothing bad happens to her Update: It's not looking to good chat. Tried straggling the line between cynicism, hope, independence and anxiety and well that did not go well ended up going south
posting this for my gf who played the game before me: Very good yuri vn, unsurprising since Studio Elan has yet to miss. I actually was following this one since I read Heart of the Woods, read the demo as soon as it was available- and of course bought it was soon as I was able to. I enjoyed all of the characters, particularly Sherri, Kealey, and Nina and the way the story talks about growing older. My one criticism is that the perspective shifts between characters could have been signposted a little better, a few times I had to wait a few sentences to see who was the narrator.
