I found this game boring after a few hours.
So this is a game where I wish there was an in-between rating. Its a cozy game, but with balancing issues which make it feel overly grindy. I liked the story and the music, and the farming / base building elements were good. There's no time limits for any of the story quests, so you can go about the game at your own pace, and the type of seeds you get are tied to the different areas so stock up what you need before you leave an area. When it comes down to the progression, I feel like certain design decisions drag the game down. Things like the balancing of the amount of resources needed to advance the story in each new areas, and some quests requiring RNG-based items (including main story quests), such as needing super crops when the best fertilizers only increases the odds of a super crop up to 70% chance. Considering that this is a cozy game meant to be played casually at your own pace, this is fine, but I definitely started feeling like the game was dragging on with each new area needing longer times than I thought was necessary just waiting for crops or grinding resources. Overall its a decent cozy game, but I prefer stardew valley or the harvest moon series games.

Super cute and cozy, literally just Stardew Valley but in space
While there are a few interesting ideas to spice up the farming-life sim formula, in all but the most mechanically unique of those games, I view dialog to be of key importance to the actual quality of the game, and the pool of dialog for each character per friendship level is very small, making the dialog, and characters speaking it feel flat and boring. If this game was still getting updates, I would've waited longer to leave this review to see if got fixed in future updates, but alas, it isn't.
This is one of the 2 best space farm sims I've ever played! The gameplay loop is so addictive I can't stop playing and I love shooting Aliens with my ray gun. The combat is fun and exciting. It is a bit grindy though but not as Grindy as Graveyard Keeper so if you don't mind a bit of money grinding then you will still like it! If you ever wanted to play a game thats a combo of Star Trek and Stardew Valley this is the game for you! Only other complaints is I wish we had 1 more festival at lest!.
I really wanted to like this game. It's essentially Star Trek meets Stardew Valley, which are two of my favorite universes ever. What I did not realize was that this game also incorporates elements of Dark Souls into it. Most of this game's problems boil down to a lack of progress. You can't upgrade your energy bar or health bar, and as a result, completing tasks becomes a resource management issue. Do you sell those crops you just spent 10 days watering, or do you use them to get resources. Combat is weirdly difficult and enemy tactics lack variation. Music does not vary with the quarters (like SDV's seasons) though you do get different music on different planets. As for the good, the design here is fantastically cutesy. I love the theme and vibes. The music is calming. Dialogue feels natural and well-written. The quests are engaging. But unfortunately the grind is just too much for me. It takes the cozy feeling out of the game when I'm spending days in game just to gather the resources to make one machine, or get one upgrade, or complete one quest. So as much as I'd like to recommend this game, I just can't.
Cute! Gets repetitive fast, and there's not quite enough gameplay to occupy every day when you're just waiting to reach a new planet, but still cute and endearing enough that I'm playing to the end. Soot Soot
Soot Soot!
Do you like Stardew Valley? No? Move on. This won't be your cup of tea. However, if you're one of the quite substantial number of people that did like Stardew Valley. This might be worth checking out..I certainly liked it. It's basically a space inspired person of ConcernedApe's labour of love. It's not quite as polished and there's certainly room for improvement but overall, this is a solid game. Story fine, not much endgame but enjoyable enough. Characters are likable. Gameplay loop a bit repetitive as usual with these games but doesn't quite grind you to death. It would benefit from a fast travel system around your ship though. Can be a bit slow walking around so much and walking speed is a bit slow too. Overall It's not quite to infinity and beyond. But this cozy trip among the stars won't leave you looking for a quick return to Earth. --Steam deck compatibility-- *Perfect/Nearly perfect out the box - X *Perfect after some tweaks - *Runs fine without tweaks - *Runs fine after playing with settings- *Just about Playable, even after playing with settings- *Borderline unplayable; even on lowest and/or heavily modded settings - *This game cannot be played on Steam Deck - --{ Graphics }--- *Visual Masterpiece- *Beautiful- *Good- *Pretty at times - *Unremarkable but fine- X *Noticeably bad- *Either revoltingly ugly or a glitchy mess- ---{ Gameplay }--- *Sleep?
