Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest

The original was great, this "remake" is just as great and just as frustrating at certain points with the running around. 10/10 would play again in the future, can't wait till LBA2 remake is done!

Nostálgico, um jogo da minha infância! O único ponto ruim é que os mobs não têm uma cadência de ataque quando estão muito perto. A vida vai toda embora se você ficar próximo demais deles.

C'était sympa à refaire, depuis il y a bien longtemps quand même ^^ Le gameplay clavier + souris m'a convenu, au moins là on peut viser à la souris. Un auto lock mais discret et pas intrusif, ça c'est bien. Pas eu de pb bloquant, et c'est assez joli surtout pour du low poly.

got a lot collision bugs. Frist scene if Joey jump into the sea with you, the scene will stuck when meet your sister because Joey disappear. Second one i meet is when get the key going to the cave after got the ball in house. You cant go back to house because collision bugs. You will just crawl infinite forever. Come on!! This game released 2 years already. Are you going to tell me those oblivious bug you not going to fix or enhance the playing experience?

Let me start off with this: Relentless was my first video game ever as a child. My dad bought it for me at CompUSA when I was 6 years old. I was immediately hooked. I beat the original game a few times and even picked it back up as an adult. When I heard of a remake of the original, I immediately wishlisted and waited for release. This game does so much right. It keeps a lot of the original music and graphics. Like when I was first captured by Funfrock and I got slapped by him, I remembered that from the original game. It really keeps the spirit of the original game. What this game does wrong is the gameplay. It is very difficult to use the magic ball. It hits on invisible corners and returns to you even though the path was hitting an enemy. Soldiers can stun lock you with their bullets (They have itchy trigger fingers!) as well. They also changed to story. They took the love element out of it-- Bye Zoe, Hi Luna. I find Luna more annoying than anything. I wish I was looking for Zoe instead. The first game felt more intuitive than the remake. Would I recommend this game? Only if you played the original and it holds a certain kind of nostalgia on you. If you are just picking this game up for no reason other than to play a game. No. Skip it.

Ich muss zugeben ich bin vorbelastet den schon die Original Spiele von "LBA" 1994 und "LBA2" 1997 habe ich geliebt! Und auch dieses Spiel liebe ich. Man wird nicht komplett an die Hand genommen, wichtig ist alles erkunden und mit jeden Reden, so eröffnen sich langsam die Möglichkeiten die man hat. Spielt es am besten mit Controller, mit Tastatur ist es nicht optimal und das von jemanden der Controller nicht mag. ;-) Was ich nicht so toll fand war die Steuerung des Balls wenn man zielen wollte, aber vieleicht lag das auch an meinen Controller ungeübten Fingern. ;-) Ich spiele unter Linux und einer AMD RX 9070XT Grafikkarte und hatte auf der Startinsel Probleme mit schwarzen Texturen, ein wechsel auf eine ältere Proton Version (bei mir war es GE-Proton8-32) schafte Abhilfe. Auf meinem Laptop mit NVIDIA Grafik trat das Problem nicht auf. Die knapp 12h Spielzeit stimmen nicht, den ich habe vorher mit der GOG Version gespielt, aber wegen der praktischen Cloud Speicherung der Speicherstände bin ich auf die Steam Version umgestiegen, bei mehreren Geräten ist das einfach praktischer. Ich schätze mal es kommen daher nochmal 10h Spielzeit drauf. Mein Fazit, endlich mal wieder ein Spiel das mir Spaß gemacht hat und das keine 100h bis zum Ende brauch. Also ich kann es nur empfehlen.

ich kann nur sagen... DANKE DANKE DANKE !!!!!!!!!!! Twinsen war mein erstes Rollenspiel in meiner Kindheit und im Leben hätte ich nie gedacht das es davon ein Remake geben wird. Ich hatte das Original vor ein paar Jahren noch mal gespielt... naja angespielt, hauptsächlich die Steuerung war der Grund warum ich es dann gelassen habe. Vor über 20 Jahren war das halt so, da kannte man noch nichts besseres, aber jetzt ist es absolut grausam. Deswegen danke ich [2.21] für dieses wenn auch leicht abgeänderte Remake.

To anyone growing up in the 90's it wa a cult classic. Playing this remake as an adult brought back sweet memories. I'm happy to report that this new version is very enjoyable indeed with its colorful graphics and goofy humor. It's still janky at times and a few bugs remain. If you're not in this for a trip down memory lane though beware : The game is clearly targeted at younger audiences. But if you have a kid and want to have them play a smart and funny game this is a great choice ! As a side note : I played it entirely on the steamdeck and it played perfectly on the machine.

LBA2 - Twinsen's Odyssey, foi o primeiro jogo realmente desafiador, com uma história completa, que eu joguei no computador, quando ainda era criança. Ele me fez ter um grande amigo para a vida e também permitiu que eu entrasse para o mundo da Tecnologia, tendo criado um primeiro site (HTML puro ainda) sobre o jogo, detonado, dicas, etc. O site não existe mais (morreu junto ao XPG) mas o saudosismo fica. Resolvi experimentar esse remake do primeiro jogo e, apesar de não ser o mesmo que me traz a nostalgia, me deixou na esperança de que um dia o LBA2 vai ganhar um remake e, quem sabe, uma continuação. Espero que esse jogo possa inspirar outros como me inspirou um dia.
