Too slow, 1 dimensional, and frankly unfair to be fun. The biggest delay you have progressing comes from the fact that enemies get to shoot you while moving but you cannot shoot them, meaning they can keep your shield from ever being able to regen and you can do nothing about it. It just feels so incredibly cheap. 1/5 - Do something, anything.
Pretty fun little idle game. Plenty to do with stuff that unlocks as you go to new places. Cool buffs for doing certain things. The crafting system is pretty rad. The music is relaxing and chill. It's not overly complex, it's not too simple, it feels just right. I left it running while I was away to see if it was any different than if I went afk and came back to use idle time, so it feels pretty well balanced. Overall I think it's a great little game. I dig it so far. The first little stretch of the game you'll need to micromanage and hang out to level up things like your weapons, and drones, so that you aren't advancing to enemies too difficult. However, once you establish some upgrades and get yourself in a good place, progress goes smooth like butter. I would suggest concentrating on hanging away from "auto advance" till you can get yourself past your first set of skill points. Once you start crafting equipment and getting your points up, you'll advance much easier. I hope they add some more content as times goes on, but even for what it is, there's plenty to explore for a while. It seems like it may take a while to unlock everything, which honestly I appreciate because there's been a growing number of "hyper idlers" (at least that's what I'd call them) where they last a few hours and it's over. This seems to have enough content to go for some time.
Scratches a similar itch to Unnamed Space Idle, I actually much prefer this game so far because it respects the idle "keep playing and it'll get easier" NGU (although there is also an intriguing NGD mechanic as well) instead of hitting brick walls in USI. There's lots to dig into, especially with resource types, and I've visited 6 sectors, my runs tend to be long instead of quick returns and upgrades. I fully recommend this game, especially if you want a more focused experience than Unnamed Space Idle, the rest of this post will be feedback because I bought the game early on. 1. The menu system organization needs another pass, it's difficult to find where things are and the grouping as they are now could be better, Ship, Party, Space, and Special all sort of have a jumble of things, then inventory and equipment are also their own menus. The inventory crafting interface + inventory management + merge feels like it could be laid out better, right now you start at inventory, then click item category, then click enhance, then click merge, then click another item, (accept), then you close out which puts you back at the start, then you have to go back to Inventory and start over again for another item. I would also say maybe move Modules up a level to the main menu and move Equipment / ship components under the Ship menu? I'm not even sure I'm doing the right thing with blueprints but I need to experiment more. 2. Next unlocks - I'm still not sure I'm unlocking things correctly, the best tool I have for this is the Status->Records->Upcoming records and seeing what looks possible to accomplish "soon". Many menu items are just ??? until they are unlocked. I don't mind the mystery, but maybe a better way could be an unlock hint when it's the "next" entry to be unlocked. For example, reach Zone 200 in Sector Alpha to unlock. This would also be helpful on the Sector screen, it felt like I was repeating sectors to grind resources but I couldn't tell if I was in the right place to unlock the next feature. 3. Enemy Alpha Strike - the game is probably balanced this way but it does feel a little silly when an enemy ship files up to you, rotates, and fires at you before you can shoot back or the swarm of drones following you opens fire. I've been putting points into Weapon delay to see if this makes a difference. For balance it makes sense to let enemies get a shot off, maybe you can fire at the same time? 4. Star indicator minor nitpick - not at all a big deal but I don't like the star icon when it's indicating a selection such as in the Faction screen. I think there's probably a more clear way to do this. There is already a green mouseover effect, maybe that can be toggled on when you make a selection?
Structurally similar to other games of this developer. I like this formula so its a no brainer recommendation.
I have been enjoying the game. Lots of options and ways to progress in the game. Dev is responsive on the forums. I like the time fast forward feature to quickly move through the levels with saved up time. Note: I got the game for free from a key giveaway on Reddit, but for the price, I think it is worth it.
Surprising depth to this addictive space idler!
Почему-то просто не интересно. Заставлял себя играть дальше, чем 20 минут, но не цепляет.
Great little idle game, no IAP is always a plus
I really tried to force myself to make it to the end and really wanted to give it a good review, but I couldn't. The game is quite boring. The progression doesn't feel rewarding. The party system is quite janky and unenjoyable to interact with. Some skills like weakness exploit and crit damage just feel like filler skills that you don't really see the impact of. The prestige (return to earth) system is incredibly underwhelming as all it does is reset your upgrades and give you a currency to use on generic buffs. There is really no depth to the game. All the unlockable menus/mechanics are just reskinned version of one another. They all give the exact same stat boosts, just under a different menu. The more I write on this review the more frustrated I am getting with the complete lack of depth in the game. It is quite literally the same thing over and over and over, and the gameplay loop gets old very fast. I like to support indie devs, which is why I bought the game to begin with, but this one feels really low effort.
Fun idle game with a zillion little features that all overlap and intersect. Solid mix of mechanics between active and idle play, item and resource management, or juggling different bonuses and toggles. Basic upgrade automation unlocked very quickly (first prestige). It feels like there's always some feature I could poke to squeeze out some more bonuses, but I can also just let it idle and accumulate progress that way. It's a rare game that doesn't lean too far to either idle or active play.
