The games, themselves, are decent enough for killing time. But there aren't enough levels for how much the game costs, imo. But the real frustrating part is the post game screen. Can't skip ahead and it gets very old always waiting on that screen before you can continue playing. If you get less than 3 stars and want to Retry then you have to go back to level select because there's no Retry button. It's just little things that eat up more time than they should, ruining the chill vibes this game otherwise has to offer. Bought on sale for $6.29, didn't find it worth the price. MAYBE worth $2-$3. For the price I paid I'd like double the amount of levels.
LISTEN UP! WE TRIED TO MAKE “THOSE GAMES” EVEN MORE EXTREME! SOME THINGS HAVE TO BE LEARNED THE HARD WAY! is an unapologetically brutal indie platformer that embraces challenge and frustration as core gameplay elements. This game is clearly designed for players who thrive on pushing their skills to the limit and enjoy the rush of overcoming punishing obstacles through trial and error. With its intentionally tough mechanics, minimalist design, and relentless difficulty, it boldly wears its niche on its sleeve—offering an experience that’s as much about perseverance and mental endurance as it is about reflexes and timing. At its heart, the game is a classic precision platformer taken to an extreme. Levels are crafted with razor-sharp difficulty in mind, filled with spikes, traps, unpredictable hazards, and tight jump sequences that demand near-perfect execution. Every jump counts, and even a slight miscalculation often leads to instant failure. The game encourages players to learn through repeated failures, forcing them to memorize patterns, refine timing, and develop muscle memory to progress. It’s a throwback to the old-school arcade and console platformers that didn’t hold your hand but instead rewarded persistence and focus. Visually, the game opts for a minimalist and abstract style, stripping away distractions and focusing attention squarely on the challenge. The stark, pixel-art inspired environments contribute to the game’s relentless atmosphere, where the danger feels omnipresent and unforgiving. While some may find the art style simplistic or even harsh on the eyes, it effectively reinforces the brutal nature of the gameplay and keeps the focus on precision and mechanics rather than aesthetics. The soundtrack and sound design complement the intense gameplay by maintaining a fast-paced and urgent tone. The audio cues are sharp and clear, serving as important feedback during difficult sequences. There’s a rhythmic quality to the game’s flow, where sound and level design work in tandem to push players into a flow state once they start mastering the mechanics. The tension builds naturally, making success feel like a hard-earned victory. One of the defining features of the game is its learning curve, which is steep and unforgiving. This is not a title for casual players or those looking for a relaxed experience. Instead, it demands patience, resilience, and a willingness to embrace failure as a learning tool. The satisfaction comes from incremental progress and the feeling of finally mastering sections that once seemed impossible. However, this same extreme difficulty might alienate some players, especially those who prefer a more balanced or narrative-driven experience. The controls are tight and responsive, a crucial factor given the precision required to navigate the game’s obstacles. Any input lag or imprecision would severely undermine the gameplay, but here the developers have clearly prioritized responsiveness, allowing skilled players to execute complex maneuvers with confidence. This level of control is essential in a game where every millisecond and pixel counts. While the game’s brutal challenge is its selling point, it does occasionally suffer from moments where difficulty spikes feel unfair or arbitrary, potentially leading to frustration rather than engagement. Checkpoints are spaced carefully to balance the tension between risk and reward, but some may find certain sections overly punishing. Still, for those willing to accept the design philosophy, these moments become part of the learning experience rather than detriments. In summary, LISTEN UP! WE TRIED TO MAKE “THOSE GAMES” EVEN MORE EXTREME! SOME THINGS HAVE TO BE LEARNED THE HARD WAY! is a niche title that caters to a very specific audience: players who relish extreme platforming challenges and don’t shy away from failure. Its minimalist presentation, razor-sharp mechanics, and relentless difficulty create an unforgiving yet rewarding experience that stands as a testament to old-school gaming toughness. While not for everyone, those who thrive on testing their limits will find a deeply satisfying, adrenaline-fueled journey where persistence truly pays off. Rating: 8/10
사기광고에 낚이는 것 보다, 이 게임을 사서 플레이 하는 게 낫다. 그 세번째.......
分颜色小游戏的第18关的瓶子次数有逻辑bug,必死啊
EXTREME experiment.
数字塔第22和第24关数字填错了,不可能过关,其他就还行 4小时时间长度有点短,按照这质量30块钱有点贵
Hehe funni
The levels in this game are actually a lot harder, at least for the test-tube minigame and the scroll-shooter one. The big downside is that I wish there were more levels for the test-tube game.
Some of these levels were clearly not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play tested properly. What lesson was there to learn? That the physics engine in this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?
